Firing accuracy is a key evaluation index of gun acceptance testing. A novel gun acceptance equipment, which can improve acceptance precision and reduce acceptance cost, was developed to ameliorate conventional acceptance methods. The equipment can inspect angle included between aiming line and axis of barrel based on image processing and recognition. Acceptance precision of the equipment was calculated and experimentally testified. The investigated results show that the acceptance precision is approximately 0.26mil, which is better than that of the conventional acceptance methods. Source
