Within this project, different conductive structures were coated according to their specific requirements. Especially the dispenser technology assures the demanded parameters. The use of little amounts of coating pastes achieves optimal protective features. The first-time usage of powder coating with conductive textile structures is another way for the cost-efficient coating of such structures. Here, further research work regarding the softness and flexibility of the coating powder needs to be done.

In the research project "Process for the efficient realization of firmly bonded and form-fit electrical connections at the production of smart textiles" a continuous process for the integration of electronic devices on textile faces on a modified embroidery machine was developed. The whole process-using of conductive threads, placement and bonding of the electronic components - can be realized now on the embroidery machine without elimination of the embroidery frame. The bonding of electronic components on conductive textiles is realized by laser soldering. Based on this newly-de-veloped technology, for the first time it is possible to achieve an effective and reliable process as opposed to the conventional manual process.
