In this paper, the reaction of [RhX2NO(PPh3) 2] (X=Cl-, Br-, I- and NO 2 -) were Carried out with N-ethoxycarbonylphyrrole-2- thiocarboxamide (ETH) and N-phenylcarbamoylpyrrole-2-thiocarboxamide (PTH). The product were analyzed and Characterized by spectral (IR, UV and Visible) and magnetic moment studies.

In this paper, the reactions of [M(PEt3)4] (M=Ni, Pd, and Pt) were Carried out with N-PhenylCarbonylPyrrole-2-thiocarboxamide (ETH) and N-Phenylcarbamoylpyrrole-2-thiocarboxamide (PTH). The product of the these reactions were characterized on the basis of analytical, spectral (IR, UV and Visible) and magnetic studies. A tentative structure has been proposed to these complexes.

In this paper, the reaction of 2-thioxoperhydro-1,3-thiazin - 4 ones; with VO(IV), Cr(III), Mn(II), Fe(II) and Fe(III) ions lead to the formation of M(TP)-x (H2O)y [M=Mn(II), Cr(III), Fe(III); x=1 or 2; y=2 or 3], VO(TP)2 and [Fe(TPH)CI2(PPh 3)2]. These complexes have been characterized by analytical, magnetic, thermogravimetric and spectral (IR, UV and Visible) studies and their tentative structures are proposed.

In this paper, the reaction of 2-thioxopherhydro-1, 3-thiazine-4 ones with [Ru(η5-C5H5) (PPh3) 2X] (X=CI, Br, I), [Ru(η5--C5H5) (MPh3)2 CI] (M = As, Sb) and [Ru(CO)2 Cl 2] complexes lead to the formations of [Ru(η5-C 5H5) (PPh3) (TPH)X] (X=CI, Br, I), [Ru( 5-C5H5) (MPη3 (TPH) Cl] (M=As, Sb) [Ru(CO)2 CI2(TPH)] and [Rh(CO)2 X(TPH)] (X=CI, Br) The compounds have been characterised by analytical, magnetic, conductivity and spectroscopic (ir, uv and visible) studies and a quasioctahedral geometry is proposed for Ru(II) complexes and square planar geometry for Rh(I) Complexes.

Nitrosyl complexes which have both L=methyl cyanide and triphenylphosphine as coexisting ligands were synthesized and characterised as cis [Ru(NO)(X)L 2(PPh 3) 2] +2 X=OH,Cl,NO 2 and L=CH 3CN). The structures of the complexes have been proposed on the basis of analytical, magnetic and spectroscopic (IR, UV-Visible and 1H NMR) methods. The properties of these complexes were investigated under the conditions of chemical oxidation and electrochemical reduction.

Reactions of aromatic thioamides, LH, with [Ru(NO)Cl 3(PPh 3) 2,] yields [Ru(NO)Cl 3(LH)]. The complexes have been characterized by analytical, IR, U.V and Visible spectral and magnetic measurements. The presence of u(NO) at 1830-1840 cm -1 indicates a [Ru NO] 6 configuration.

Exact solutions of Einstein's field equations are obtained in a spatially homogeneous and anisotropic Bianchi type-I space-time in presence of a dissipative fluid with constant and time dependent cosmological term Λ. Einstein's field equations are solved by considering a time dependent deceleration parameter, which affords a late time acceleration in the universe. The cosmological constant Λ is found to be a decreasing function of time and it approaches a small positive value at present epoch, which is corroborated by consequences from recent supernovae I a observations. To get the deterministic solution a barotropic equation of state together with shear viscosity, proportional to expansion scalar, is also assumed. It is observed that initial nature of singularity is not changed due to presence of viscous fluid. The basic equation of thermodynamics is deduced and thermodynamic aspects of models are discussed. Physical and geometric properties of cosmological models are also discussed. © 2013 Indian Association for the Cultivation of Science.

The heavy rare earth zirconate compound Ln2Zr2O 7 (where Ln = Ho, Er) were prepared by solid state reaction method. The prepared compounds have been characterized by XRD, DT, TG and DTG. XRD studies suggest the formation of single phase orthorhombic structure at room temperature. We describe magnetic susceptibility measurements of the compounds at high temperature. In these compounds magnetism arises from the rare-earth ions, while Zr is non magnetic. All the compounds show antiferromagnetic behaviour at low temperature and obey Curie-Weiss law.

The polycrystalline samples CaZrO3 and SrZrO3 have been prepared by solid state reaction technique and characterised by XRD, DTA, TGA and DTG. The XRD characterisation shows them to be orthorhombic. The dielectric constant (ε′) and dielectric loss (ε″) of above compounds have been studied at 1 kHz in temperature range of 300 to 1150 K. The log ε′ vs. T and log ε″ vs. T graph show rapid increase of dielectric constant above 730 and 720 K, respectively.

The tungstate compounds of the type R 2(WO 4) 3 (where R = Ce, Dy and Ho) have been prepared by a solid state reaction technique and characterized by XRD, DTA, TG and DTG. The XRD characterization suggests the formation fo single phase orthorhombic structure at room temperature. The electrical conductivity (σ) measurements on the pressed pellets have been reported in the temperature range 303 to 1103 K. It has been found that these compounds are essentially electronic conductors with σ values lying in the order of 10 -6 Ω -1 m -1 around 300 K and increases with increase of temperature.
