Control of the molecular orientation and its in situ observation have successfully been carried out. The attachment of porphyrin derivatives bearing non-, one-, and four-carboxyl groups on ITO electrode surfaces was monitored using time-resolved enhancement evanescent wave electro-absorption spectroscopy. The stability of the porphyrin self-assembled monolayers was also determined by the combination of cyclic voltammetry and evanescent wave electronic spectroscopy measurements. © The Electrochemical Society of Japan All rights reserved. To provide an electrophoresis method and an electrophoresis device which can reduce difficulty in operation while implementing sufficient staining. An electrophoresis device includes a temperature gradient tank, a dispenser, a holder storage cabinet, a photographing unit, a PCR device, a chip rack, a chip disposal box, a DC power unit, a control unit, an arm, and a liquid feeder. A holder and a cassette removably attached to the holder are put on the temperature gradient tank. The control unit controls a carrying device, the arm, the liquid feeder, the temperature gradient tank, an excitation light source and a camera in the photographing unit, and the DC power unit. The control unit prestores a program for executing the control operation in its internal memory.

A training apparatus includes a training machine, a detecting unit, a signal generating unit, and a control unit. The training machine includes a displaceable part that is movable in response to exercise motions performed by the exerciser during training exercise. The detecting unit detects the displacement of the displaceable part or detects the displacement of the target training area of the exerciser resulting from the exercise motions. The signal generating unit generates a stimulus signal to be applied to the exerciser during the training exercise. The control unit corrects a content of processing relating to stimulus signal performed by the signal generating unit based on the displacement detected by the detecting unit.

The training apparatus includes a training machine, a detection means, and an arithmetic means. The training machine has a displacement unit displaced according to a training action and a load generation unit that imparts a load to a trainee. The detection means detects displacement of the displacement unit. The arithmetic means acquires at least one characteristic value possessed by a waveform corresponding to one unit of a training action which waveform is included in the displacement detected in the detection unit on a time axis, for each waveform, and to evaluate the acquired characteristic values for at least one of variation, transition tendency, and deviation from a predetermined value. The arithmetic means executes, based on the evaluation, at least one of control of the load generation unit, calculation of a load value set in the load generation unit, and notification of a result of the evaluation.

A training device includes an information outputter, an exercise status detector, an arithmetic processor, and a stimulus signal generator. The information outputter includes at least one of an image output unit and an audio output unit. The exercise status detector includes a body portion, a first grip portion and a second grip portion provided on the body portion, and sensors that detect a motion of the body portion. The arithmetic processor issues training action instruction information through the information outputter, and evaluates a matching degree between the contents of the training action instruction information and the motion of the body portion, based on output signals from the sensors of the exercise status detector. The stimulus signal generator applies a stimulus signal to the arm of a trainee.
