To illustrate the transport behaviors of deca-brominated diphenyl ether(BDE-209)in soils with different contents of insoluble organic matter, the heavy metal ions Fe3+, Cu2+ and Zn2+ with loads of 0-100 mg/g were investigated. The verities of the forest soil colloids(≤1 μm, insoluble organic matters of 2.2%)and the farmland soil colloids(≤1 μm, insoluble organic matters of 4.7%)with BDE-209 were carried out to check their transport behaviors with rotary mixers under the conditions of r=(30.0±1.0)r/min, T=(25.0±0.5)℃, ratio value of Vwater and msoil=5 and pH=6.8±0.1. The balance times and the equilibrium contents of the heavy metal ions(Fe3+, Cu2+ and Zn2+)were 40 h and(49.4±1.2)mg/g for the forest soil colloids and 32 h and(81.7±1.9)mg/g for the farmland soil colloids, respectively. For the forest soil colloids(loads of 0-60 mg/g)and farmland soil colloids(loads of 0-80 mg/g), the flocculation effects of Fe3+ on the soil colloids were best compared with those of Cu2+ and Zn2+. For the forest soil colloids with the loads of 60-100 mg/g and the farmland soil colloids with the loads of 80-100 mg/g, the concentrations of the soil colloids were maintained at (49.3±1.3)mg/L and(50.4±1.1)mg/L, respectively. Simultaneously, the BDE-209 concentrations in the supernatants were obviously decreased from(388.5±13.2)ng/L to(24.7±21.7)ng/L for the forest soil colloids and to(25.4±18.8)mg/L for the farmland soil colloids. Moreover, the heavy metal ions did not directly change the BDE-209 transport behaviors by calculating the BDE-209 contents((493.1±6.8)ng/g)in those soil colloids. The heavy metal ions affected the BDE-209 transport behaviors in the soil environment mainly by changing the behaviors of soil colloids to move the contaminated soil colloids, freely passing through the porous soil matrix to potentially pollute and threaten other clean and safe districts. © 2017, Editorial Board, Research of Environmental Sciences. The constrained independent component analysis (cICA) provides a general framework to incorporate the prior information. To overcome the unstable problem encountered in the cICA algorithm of [2], an improved method is proposed in this letter by using the reference based unmixing matrix initialization. Compared to the original algorithm, the prior information of references is not only used in the contrast function, but also used in the initialization. The utility of the proposed method is demonstrated by the experimental results on the artificial data and the sound signals. © 2010 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.

This paper addresses the effects of leaders on the consistency of group behaviour. First, a mathematical model is established so that the group attempts to reach a common velocity direction. The action range of leaders is formulated by their communication range. The followers update their states according to the states of both the other followers in the vicinity and the leaders which can communicate with the current follower. After establishing a system model, we then conduct simulations to discover the effects of leaders on the consistency of a group behaviour. Finally, we obtain the following results: (a) the leader is very useful in compelling the group to be consistent, even when the impact factor of the leader is very small; (b) the total consistency of the group is determined not only by the communication range of the leader, but also by the communication range of the followers. © 2012 Inderscience Enterprises Ltd.

The goal of this research is to examine if the long neglected correlates such as social and leisure activities, social support, and subjective social status contribute to variations in psychological distress among older Chinese. Using data collected in one of the most developed areas in China-Suzhou city, Jiangsu province, the authors find that engaging in various exercises, living with both spouse and adult children, perceived availability of social support from others as well as believing in the importance of caring for other family members are particularly beneficial for mental health whereas the perception of relative deprivation and low life quality is detrimental to mental health for older Chinese. This work is among the first studies that comprehensively examined various important correlates of psychological distress and indicate the unique patterns of distress among the elderly in the most developed area in the contemporary China. © 2013 Springer Science+Business Media New York.

In this paper, BVO-T/rGO composite was successfully synthesized through hydrothermal method and ultraviolet irradiation. The structure and physicochemical properties of the materials were characterized by means of the XRD, FE-SEM, HRTEM, Raman, and UV–Vis techniques. The photocatalytic performance of as-synthesized samples was evaluated by photodegradation of RhB under visible light irradiation. It is shown that BiVO4 is a truncate octahedron-like morphology with (040) facet exposed and is tightly wrapped by rGO. The Raman spectrum of BVO-T/rGO shows two characteristic bands, which is corresponding to the D band and G band of rGO, respectively. After combining with rGO, the composite shows much higher photocatalytic performance. The possible formation mechanisms of such multiple morphological BiVO4 materials have also been discussed. © 2016 Springer Science+Business Media New York

In this work, a systematic research on the relationship between the CdS crystalline structures and pH value of the solution and annealing treatments for the CdS thin films were carried out. CdS thin films were deposited on ITO substrates by chemical bath deposition methods at a certain bath temperature, in which the CdAc2 and H2NCSNH2 were used as starting materials. During the reactions, NH3H2O was used to control pH value of the solutions. Morphological, structural and optical properties of the CdS films were investigated using scanning electron microcopy (SEM), X-ray diffraction and UV-vis spectrophotometer, respectively. As the pH value increased up to 10.5, CdS film showed the best crystallinity accordingly. From the diffraction patterns, the crystallite sizes were found to increase with increasing annealing temperature. The obvious blue-shift of those annealed with CdCl2 compared with those directly annealed was conducive to improve the efficiency of CdS/CdTe solar cell. © 2015 Elsevier Ltd and Techna Group S.r.l. Based on the analysis of LEACH routing algorithm, this paper proposes a novel clustering algorithm(I-LEACH) which selects cluster heads according to the node's residual energy and distance with other cluster heads. In addition, the clusters send data to the base station by means of combination of single hop and multi-hop manner for saving cluster heads' energy. Simulation results show that compared with LEACH and P-LEACH, the improved algorithm can balance energy consumption among nodes, reduce the energy consumption and prolong the lifetime of the networks. © 2011 Springer-Verlag.

The e-service quality metric needs continued development and validation when measuring customer's satisfaction and loyalty in internet banking environment. This study use E-S-QUAL scales and D&M IS success model to design the research model, to assess a internet banking loyalty model, a set of empirical data including 405 usable questionnaires were collected by online survey to test estimates in the model. The main findings are as follows: 1) the research supported that the four e-SERVQUAL dimensions - efficiency, fulfillment, system availability and privacy are the determinants of Chinese internet banking service quality. 2) System quality, electronic service quality and information quality all have a positive effect on customer perceived value and customer satisfaction. 3) E-service quality has both direct effect on customer loyalty and indirect effect on customer loyalty through customer perceived value and customer satisfaction. © 2010 IEEE.

Rural tourism can make full use of tourism resources in rural areas to adjust and optimize rural industrial structures, extend the agricultural industrial chain, develop rural tourism services, promote nonagricultural employment, increase the incomes of farmers, and create a better economic base for the new rural construction. This paper uses the method of SWOT analysis to make a comprehensive evaluation and analysis on strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats in the development of rural tourism in Suzhou. Through the combination of internal resources and external environment, this paper clearly determines the advantages and disadvantages of Suzhou rural resources, comprehends the opportunities and challenges to be faced, and also proposes the corresponding countermeasures. At last, this paper hopes to provide a decision reference for the development of rural tourism in Suzhou, and promote the sustainable development of rural tourism in Suzhou. © 2011 Published by Elsevier B.V.
