Global Perspectives on Trade Integration and Economies in Transition | Year: 2016

Domestic markets of agricultural commodities are increasingly influenced by trade integration and liberalization. Current uncertain political and economic relations in the macro-region of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), Eastern and Western Europe, international tensions around Russia-Ukraine problem, bilateral economic and trade sanctions between Russia and such global economic powers as the USA and the EU transform market patterns and affect agricultural production, rural development and food security in both the CIS and worldwide. The chapter aims to discover the expected influences of such trade restrictions on trade in agricultural commodities, to assess the degree of distortion and return effects on domestic food markets. Chapter specifically addresses possible effects of trade restrictions between the EU, the USA, and other countries from one side, and Russia from the other, particularly imposed ban on agricultural trade. It is concluded with the overview of the expected influences of trade tensions on Russia's domestic food market. © 2016 by IGI Global. All rights reserved.

The aim of this research is to develop the technology of food supplement with preventional properties, made out of red grapes berries peel. The authors studied chemical constitution and molecular properties of red grapes berries peel flavonoids. On the basis of obtained results and planning matrix implementation the authors developed the antioxidant food supplement technology, consisting in extracting tartaric acids and sugars with the help of a polar solvent with subsequent dissociating of the solution and drying of prepared berries peel. The authors researched chemical constitution, functional technological properties and safety profile of the food antioxidant supplement.

Designing of the training environment with expected qualities is considered as a multidimensional technology of Didactic design, which represents the aggregate of methodology and designing tools, and also methods and designing organization means. The functional model of the training environment development as a Didactic system and the tool of its realization - the logic-semantic model of a Didactic cycle are presented in the article. These models orient a teacher in search of new ways of solving training problems in the changing conditions of the educational practice. © 2013 IEEE.

The current period of market transformations reveals the tightest interrelationship of rational nature management with environmental conservation and resolving the issue of funding this area. Proper funding is a crucial condition for resolving environmental issues. At present, Russia and its regions have a disjointed financialeconomic nature management mechanism consisting of separate structural units. This mechanism comprises the following elements: drawing up ecological programs and forecasts, providing financial support for nature conservation activities, pricing the output of extractive industry sectors, and levying fees for a negative impact on the environment and the use of its natural resources. The low efficiency of this mechanism has been a precondition for taking measures aimed at activating the separate units of the existing financial mechanism for rational nature management and environmental conservation.

The problem of high-protein feeds falsification is still acute for farm animal feeds market. The article describes some examples of falsification and ways of its detection. In the Russian Federation a high-protein counterfeit products began to appear with the most simple but the most dangerous for farm animals feeds, where cereal components were mixed with salts containing nitrogen. Then there were the counterfeits of fishmeal containing syntactical amino acids - lysine, methionine and threonine and soybeans or soybean by-products. Nowadays there is a new protein component of feed on the market containing about 85% of crude protein, due to the lack of fat and carbohydrates, but the amino acid composition of such a feed contains incredibly large number of glycine and proline. It is noteworthy that this high protein product is sold at a very low price, thus attracting the consumer. Feeding monogastric animals with falsificated protein raw material causes not only metabolic disorders and reduce productivity, but may lead to starvation or even deaths. The article presents some ways of counterfeit high-protein feeds detection that have been tested in the laboratory of feed and metabolism of the Stavropol State Agrarian University.

The aim of the study is to develop technology food with preventive properties for people with hypersthenic body type. The authors identified the main components of prescription formulations functional orientation to ensure completion of missing ingredients for this body type. For the development of the composition was used a mixture of plan. To enhance the therapeutic effects were included in the formulation of L-carnitine and the drug "Vitol". As a result of study lipid metabolism, blood glucose, blood hematological parameters found that the inclusion of specially selected foods, for certain purposes, biologically active substances, can be used not only for the prophylaxis but also for the treatment of various diseases.
