Results are provided for a study of the possibility of selective absorption of HCl and HF from a gas stream also containing H2S and CO2. In order to implement this hydrolysis gas cleaning method, it is proposed to maintain the absorbing solution pH in the range 4-5 by neutralizing excess HCl, for example, by means of adding Ca(OH)2. © 2012 Springer Science+Business Media New York.

The effect of dust properties, parameters and composition of gases for cleaning on the choice of synthetic filter materials for bag filters with pulsed regeneration is considered. Particular attention is devoted to cleaning high-temperature moist gases containing corrosive components. Recommendations are proposed for calculating the temperature of the acid dew point of gases being cleaned. Condensation cooling of saturated gases in contact-type heat exchangers installed in gas purification systems is studied. An empirical relationship characterizing saturated-gas condensation cooling efficiency in various types of apparatuses is derived.
