Sulige Gasfield is the largest natural gas field which has ever been discovered and put into development in China. It is a typical representative of tight sandstone gas field, characterized by “low permeability, low pressure, low abundance, thin reservoir, significant heterogeneity”, at the same time, it is accompanied with low single well production, large well quantity, fast pressure drop and stable production difficulty, poor economic beneficial result of vertical wells development. In order to increase single well production, improve gas field development result, and increase economic benefit, the article tackled key problems of horizontal wells overall development technical research in tight sandstone gas reservoirs by analyzing and summarizing successful experience of horizontal wells pilot test in Sudongnan area. Based on horizontal wells parameter optimization, overall deployment, trajectory optimization, fine oriented and many other key technologies, we established a set of horizontal wells overall development key technologies in tight sandstone gas reservoir by using earthquake geology reservoir etc. multi-subjects. Using this technology series, we formed one horizontal stereo development area, two horizontal overall development area and one large cluster horizontal wells group development area, set an example for Sulige Gasfield horizontal wells development, which is worthy of large-scale extension for tight sandstone gas reservoirs. ©, 2014, Natural Gas Geoscience.
