Liver is the largest gland and internal organ in the human body. Liver tumor is the sixth most common cancer worldwide and the third most common cause of death from cancer. In this paper, we present computer aided automatic liver tumor detection from computed tomography (CT) images. The proposed systems consist of the pixel level fusion, Gabor transform, feature extractions and neural network classification. The liver images are enhanced using pixel level image fusion technique and the fused image is sharpened using median filter in order to enhance the tumor edges in the liver. The local binary pattern, Gray level co-occurrence matrix and grey level features are extracted from Gabor transformed liver image. These extracted features are trained and classified using feed forward neural network classifier. The proposed system achieved 98.2% of accuracy. © Research India Publications. Source

Software Development methodology is a framework that is used to structure, plan, and control the process of developing Software to achieve project goal. Many software development methodologies exist in market and choosing right model for developing software product or application is very important. “Waterfall Model” is traditional model which was used by majority of software development in early days. As maturity of model evolve over different period of time “V Process” Model became very familiar because of its verification and validation approach to make the software stable. Very recently “Agile” Methodology is being used by many companies to benefit the time to market. In this Journal we will see the advantages and disadvantages of both “V Process” model and “Agile” Model. Spectrochimica Acta - Part A: Molecular and Biomolecular Spectroscopy

This work presents the characterization of p-bromoacetanilide (PBA) by quantum chemical calculations and spectral techniques. The spectroscopic properties were investigated by FT-IR, FT-Raman and UV-Vis techniques. The structural and spectroscopic data of the molecule were obtained from B3LYP/6-311++ G(d,p) and MPW1PW91/6-311++G(d,p) basis set calculations. The theoretical wavenumbers were scaled and compared with experimental FT-IR and FT-Raman spectra. The complete assignments were performed on the basis of the normal co-ordinate analysis (NCA), experimental results and potential energy distribution (PED) of the vibrational modes, calculated with scaled quantum mechanics (SQM) method, interpreted in terms of fundamental modes. The stability of molecule has been analyzed by NBO/NLMO analysis. The molecular orbital contributions were studied by using the density of states. The electronic properties like UV-Vis spectral analysis and HOMO-LUMO energies were reported. The calculated HOMO and LUMO energies shows that charge transfer interactions taking place within the molecule. Mulliken population analysis on atomic charges, Statistical thermodynamic properties at various temperatures of the PBA is also calculated. © 2013 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved. Source

In this journal, the principle of using lean and six sigma metrics in agile scrum methodology projects for performance improvement is explained. Six Sigma is a business philosophy focusing on continuous improvement, based on a statistical measure of variability. Scrum is an agile project management methodology that can be used to control software and product development using iterative, incremental practices. Overall lean and six sigma focuses on performance improvement and agile focuses on rapid development. Liver tumor is a pathological disorder of the human that affects around 50 million people worldwide. The early detection and diagnosis of liver tumor is important for the prevention of liver tumor. Many techniques have been developed for the detection of liver tumor using the abnormal lesion size and shape. This paper reviews various lung tumor detection algorithms and methodologies used for lung tumor diagnosis. The novel methodology for the detection and diagnosis of liver tumor is also proposed in this paper and its experimental results are compared with various methodologies for the detection and diagnosis of liver tumor. © 2006-2015 Asian Research Publishing Network (ARPN).
