Problem statement: Recommender Systems (RS) have become a widely researched area as it is extensively used in web usage mining and E-commerce platforms. Approach: There were a number of recommender systems available to suggest the web pages for the web users. Results: A recommender system acted as an intelligent intermediary that automatically generates and predicts information and web pages, which suit the users' behavior and users' needs. Ultrasonic measurement is a vital non-destructive tool used to explore the characteristics of the perovskite manganite materials. La1-xCaxMnO3 perovskite samples with the composition of x= 0.70 and 0.75 were prepared using the solid state reaction technique. The crystalline nature of the samples was confirmed by the XRD patterns. The samples were found to have orthorhombic structure with no secondary phases. The relative variation in longitudinal velocity and its attenuation was measured out in the temperature range from 500 to 700 K using the through transmission method at the fundamental frequency of 5 MHz. The temperaturedependent observations showed anomalous behaviour at the transition temperatures. The anomalies observed at the temperatures 640 and 560 K for the samples for the composition x=0.70 and 0.75 were used to explain the high temperature metal-insulator transition existing in the prepared samples. Further, the investigation reveals that the magnetic entropy increases with a decrease in the doping concentration of calcium in the samples. Source

In-situ ultrasonic measurements on La0.7Sr0.3Mn1-xNixO3 perovskite manganite material (x = 0.0 and 0.02) have been carried out on the samples synthesized by solid state reaction technique. The X-ray diffraction patterns show that the samples have single phase rhombohedral structure. The temperature dependent ultrasonic longitudinal and shear velocity measurement on the samples was used to reveal the phase transition temperature i.e., Ferro to Para magnetic phase transition temperature (TC).The ultrasonic measurementsalso confirm that the Ni doping in La0.7Sr0.3Mn1-xNixO3 perovskites lead to a decrease in TC. The replacement of Mn4+ ions by Ni2+ ions caused the change in the structural parameters, the constitution of Mn3+ and Mn4+ ions and makes the AFM phase stronger in the samples. Source

Bulk La1-xCaxMnO3(x=0.70, 0.75 and 0.90) perovskite samples were synthesized using solid state reaction technique. X-ray diffraction study on the sample indicates that the sample has single phase orthorhombic structure with a space group of pnma and has no secondary phase. By employing through transmission technique operated at a fundamental frequency of 5 MHz, ultrasonic velocities and attenuation were measured for both longitudinal and shear waves over a wide range of temperature from 300 to 700 K. The ultrasonic parameters showed an anomalous behavior at the transition temperature 640, 560 and 370 K for x=0.70, 0.75 and 0.90, respectively. These anomalies in the ultrasonic parameters were used to explain the second order metal-insulator phase transition. The existence of the single-ion magnetostriction in LCMO perovskite manganites is also revealed from the ultrasonic measurements. © 2014 Elsevier B.V. Source

Abstract On-line ultrasonic measurements on La0.7Sr0.3Mn1-xNixO3 perovskite manganite material (x=0.01, 0.02 and 0.03) were performed on the samples synthesised by solid state reaction technique. The XRD studies on the samples confirm the crystalline nature with single phase rhombohedral structure having R3C space group. The average size of the particles determined using SEM images are 0.587, 0.412 and 0.356 μm for x=0.01, 0.02 and 0.03 respectively. The temperature dependent ultrasonic velocities and attenuation measurements on the samples were used to reveal the ferromagnetic to paramagnetic phase transition temperature (Curie temperature) 374, 358 and 342 K for the values of x=0.01, 0.02 and 0.03 respectively. In addition, ultrasonic measurements confirm that the increase in Ni doping concentration in La0.7Sr0.3Mn1-xNixO3 perovskites leads to a decrease in Curie temperature. The change in Mn3+/Mn4+ ratio with the phase transition temperature was explained on the basis of variation in amplitude of observed anomaly in ultrasonic measurements. The replacement of Mn4+ ion by Ni2+ ion leads to a change in the structural parameters and in the concentration of Mn3+ and Mn4+ ions. © 2015 Elsevier B.V. Source
