An information processing apparatus that includes a first sensor that receives a first signal; a second sensor that receives a second signal; and circuitry that calculates a position of a source from which the first signal and the second signal are transmitted based on a first time at which the first signal is received at the first sensor and a second time at which the second signal is received at the second sensor, and controls a display to display an image corresponding to a path obtained based on calculated changes in position of the source.

An apparatus, method and computer program product provide a simplified method for unlocking an electronic device that uses soft keys, such as capacitive touch keys, or proximity detection areas and patterns. The keys may be implemented in the form of areas of a sensor, and a processing circuit observes a touch pattern (or proximity pattern, or characteristic pattern such as a capacitance pattern of a users finger) and compares the same with the registered pattern to determine if there is a likeness. In doing so, the electronic device is operated at a low power state, and in that low power state observes whether a predetermined pattern is observed and when it is, unlocks the electronic device for interaction with a user at a fully operational state. By operating in the low power state while waiting to observe a predetermined pattern before unlocking the user interface, the device does not waste power on false positive detections, and allows for convenient wakeup and accessibility by a user.

A method may include associating, with a timer-B, a second application in a terminal device; setting the terminal device in a standby mode; and executing the second application when a processor in the terminal device wakes up after the timer-B measures a second amount of elapsed time. The timer-B may not initiate wake-up of the processor. The method may further include determining whether the second application is associated with the timer-B or a timer-A when the terminal device receives a command of setting the terminal device in the standby mode; and when the second application is determined as being associated with the timer-A, unassociating the second application with the timer-A. The timer-A may initiate wake-up of the processor when the timer-A measures another second amount of elapsed time while the terminal device is the standby mode. A timer associated with a first application may initiate wakeup of the processor.

An access point node comprises a first interface configured to communicate with a radio access node of a cellular network via a radio link and further comprises a second interface configured to communicate with a terminal via a further radio link. The access point node is configured to establish an end-to-end connection with a user-plane gateway node of the cellular network in response to receiving an attach message from the terminal.

The invention is directed to reducing paging overhead in a network. An exemplary method comprises: determining whether a user equipment (UE) is substantially stationary, wherein the UE is located in a first network cell associated with a network; in response to determining the UE is substantially stationary, transmitting an indicator to the network; determining whether the UE moves from the first network cell to a second network cell; and in response to determining the UE moves from the first network cell to the second network cell, transmitting updated location information associated with the UE to the network.

Aspects of the disclosure provide a radio transmitting device that includes a memory, a controller and a wireless communication processing circuit. The memory is configured to store correction data for correcting an azimuth angle detected by a device in a surrounding range around a location where the radio transmitting device is installed. The controller is configured to read the correction data from the memory. The wireless communication processing circuit is configured to transmit a radio signal to carry the correction data to assist the device in the surrounding range to correct the azimuth angle.

[Object] To enable a user to simply and easily confirm a plurality of pieces of update information handled by a plurality of various application programs without any troublesome operation. [Solving Means] Information storages (62 to 70) store a plurality of different types of information. An update ion-formation storage (61) stores a part of information updated in the information storages (62 to 70) as update information associated with the respective types. An update information manager (51) monitors an information update in the information storages (62 to 70) and stores, when an information update is made in the information storages (62 to 70), the part of the updated information in the update information storage (61) as update information associated with the respective types. Further, an information selector (50) extracts the update information stored in the update information storage (61) in time series and outputs them to display them on a screen.

An apparatus and method for communicating between a first device and second device, where each device includes a motion sensor. Communication functions are triggered by comparing motion data derived from each device. For example, when the first device is worn on a users wrist (e.g., a smartwatch) and the second device (e.g., a smartphone) is held in the users hand corresponding to the users wrist, then moving the hand and devices results in correlated motion data between the devices. This correlated motion indicates the devices correspond to the same user. Further, human-body communication between the devices provides additional indicia that the devices correspond to the same user. Thus, based on the above-identified correlated motion and human-body communication the same user can be inferred and predefined communication task between the devices can be performed, such as unlocking the devices, exchanging identification codes, or exchanging other information.
