A series of new 1-1(2,3-dichloroanilinomalonyl)]-3-(N-2′-cyanoethyl- N-2,3-dichloroanilino)-5-phenyt pyrazoline have been synthesized in 48 to 77% yield, by the reaction of N-cinnamoyl-N-2′-cyanoethyl-2,3-dichloroaniline with Ethyt-2-(2,3-dteWoroanilido) acetohydrazide. Pyrazolines are yellow, cream and brown color solids, having high melting points. Identity of these products has been established by elemental analysis and spectral data. Newly synthesized compounds (6a-t) have been tested for their antibacterial activity against gram positive bacteria S. albus, S. aureus and gram negative bacteria E. coli and Pseudomonas poisonous .The compound (6a, 6b, 6c, 6f, 6g, 6j, 6m, and 6r) shown significant activity and the compound (6i, 6k, 6l, 6p, 6t, ) have shown moderate activity. The same compounds were tested for their antifungal activity against Candida albicans, Aspergillus Niger and Alternaria alternata at concentration of 30 mg/mL using sabouraud dextrose agar media. The compound (6c, 6j, 6m, and 6r) shown significant activities and compound (6a, 6b, 6f, and 6g) were found to be moderately active against Candida albicans and Aspergillus niger. All the other compounds did not show significant activity against the fungi at the concentration used. Some new compounds have been tested for antitubercularactivity in-vitro using Mycobacterium tuberculosis. The compounds were incorporated into Lowenstein Jensen egg medium having concentrations of 10 and 100 mg/mL and were inoculated with Mycobacterium tuberculosis, H 27 Rv strains, incubated at 37°C and observed, the compound (6a, 6b, 6c, 6f, 6g, 6j, and 6m) inhibited the growth of Mycobacterium tuberculosis at 100mg/mL concentration other compounds were found to be inactive.

1-[(N-Acetyl)2,5-dichloroanilinomalonyl]3,5-dimethyl-4-(unsubstituted/ substituted phenylazo) pyrazoles have been synthesised in 31-65 % yield, by the reaction of 2,4-diketo-3- (unsubstituted/substituted phenylazo) pentane with ethyl-2-[(N-acetyl)2,5-dichloroanilido] acetohydrazide. Pyrazoles are brown and yellow colour solids, having high melting points. Identity of products has been established by elemental analysis and spectral data. Newly synthesized compounds [5a-t] have been tested for their antibacterial activity against gram positive bacteria S. albus, S. aureus and gram negative bacteria E. coli and Pseudomonas piosineus. The compound 5a, 5c, 5d, 5e, 5g and 5h show significant activity and compound 5b, 5f, 5i, 5j, 5k, 5n and 5p have shown moderate activity. A new series of hypophosphorous adducts of acidhydrazones have been synthesized by the reaction of 2-[N-(benzoyl)-2,5- dichloroanilido] acetohydrazide with various carbonyl compounds in 43 to 66 % yield. Newly synthesized compounds have been tested for their antibacterial activity against gram positive bacteria S. albus, S. aureus and gram negative bacteria E. coli and Pseudomonas piosineus. The compound (1, 4, 10, 12, 15) show significant activities and compound (2, 6, 9, 16, 17) show moderate activity. The same compounds were tested for their antifungal activity against Candida albicans, Aspergillus niger and Alternaria alternata at concentration of 30 mg/mL using Savored dextrose agar media. The compound (1, 7, 13, 14, 15) show significant activities and compound (2, 5, 8, 16) have shown moderate activity against Candida albicans and Aspergillus niger. All the other compounds did not show significant activity against the fungi at the concentration used.

Density and viscosity of tetrabutyl ammonium hydrogen sulphate and tetrabutyl ammonium chloride in water as well as in methanol have been measured at 303.15 K. Different equations proposed by Einstein, Vand, Moulik and Jones-Dole for viscosity have been applied to the experimental results. An attempt has also been made to study the solute-solute and solute-solvent interactions involved in the system and the effect of anion on cationic surfactant. Molar volumes obtained from Einstein and Vand equations are very close to each other. © 2013 Taylor and Francis Group, LLC.

The Schiff base has been prepared by refluxing S-benzyl dithiocarbazate with o-chloro benzaldehyde in ethanolic media and form coordination compounds of Mn(II), Ni(II), Cu(II) and Zn(II) metal ions. These complexes were characterized by elemental analysis, molar conductance, infrared, NMR and electronic spectra. Infrared spectral data of the complexes have revealed bidentate complexing nature of the Schiff base through thioketo sulphur and azomethine nitrogen atoms. The possible structures for all the metal complexes are reported here. The antibacterial and antifungal activity of the Schiff base and their complexes have also been screened.
