Erucic amidopropyl dimethyl betaine (EAPB-30) was synthesized with sodium chloroacetate and tertiary amine which was synthesized with Erucic Acid and N, N-dimethyl propylene diamine by condensation reaction. The experimental results showed that the optimum conditions for the amidation reaction were: reaction temperature 180°C, reaction time 8 h, catalyst loading 0.5%, molar ratio of N, N-dimethyl propylene diamine to Erucic Acid of 1.1; The optimum conditions for the quaternary a-mine synthesis reaction were: the molar ratio of sodium chloroacetate to tertiary amine 1.15, reaction temperature 90°C, and reaction time 8 h. The target product was confirmed by IR. The active material content of the product was 30.8%. The viscoelasticity of the product was very well in sticky acid system. The gelout and flowback properties were also very well.
