Buckwheat is an ancient dicotyledonous crop belonging to Polygonaceae family. It is cultivated and adapted to marginal lands with harsh environments. Buckwheat has been praised as one of the most faddish green functional foods. Many functional foods including tea made from buckwheat have been put into production around the globe. The buckwheat proteins are particularly rich in lysine and contain less glumatic acid and proline, and more arginine and aspartic acid than cereal proteins. Buckwheat proteins also show a strong supplemental effect with other proteins to improve the dietary amino acid balance with special biological activities of cholesterol-lowering effects, antihypertensition effects, and improving the constipation and obesity conditions by acting in a similar way as dietary fiber and interrupting the in vivo metabolisms. Besides its high-quality proteins, buckwheat is also rich in many rare components that have healing effects on some chronic diseases. Among these components, the most attractive ones are flavones, flavonoids, phytosterols, d-chiro-Inositol, and myo-inositol. In this review we focus on buckwheat's general physical and chemical properties, rare components, functional effects, metabolic engineering of bioactive compounds and trends in the development of functional tea from buckwheat in the latest three years. © 2012 Elsevier Ltd. Logistics plays a very important role in modern society which might be divided into logistics planning, logistics implementing and logistics controlling. In the logistics planning, transportation strategy is a key problem. Certainly, if the cost of logistics transportation planning needs to be lowest cost and high efficient, GIS will be concerned inevitably. GIS plays an important role and provides some references such as prediction, monitoring, planning and decision-making with the development of it. In fact, it is more and more large to the ratio of logistics transportation cost in the whole course of logistics and it is focused on the center of attention to how to reduce the logistics transportation cost and improve its efficiency. So, more and more researchers study on the dynamic routing planning in the logistics to reduce the logistics transportation distance and time on the advantage of multi-agent system (MAS). Additionally, most people want to improve their own spiritual and healthy quality on the basis of promotion in life-level with the development of market economy in order to carry out the full development of people. So it leads to the prosperity of sports tour industry. But how to take full advantage of the limited sports tour resource is becoming a key problem. So, this paper researches dynamic routing planning in logistics of sports tour resource and discusses the algorithm of the shortest path through the calculation on the basis of GIS and MAS in the region of logistics to the sports tour resource. It draws a conclusion that GIS can improve efficiency and quality promptly of transportation in the sports tour resource logistics. Meanwhile, it also improves algorithm of logistics transportation routing net in sports tour resource and provides some valuable references of development of sports tour industry and promotes social harmonious and healthy development in combination with MAS. © 2011 ASCE. Fagopyrum pugense T. Yu (Polygonaceae, Polygonoideae), known only from Luojishan, Puge County, Sichuan Province, China, is described and illustrated. It is closely related to F. gracilipes (Hemsl.) Dammer ex Diels, but differs in the plants having thicker stems and branches with densely erect-villose pubescence, numerous nodes and short internodes, ovate to cordate leaves that are minutely rugose with small pustules, and small achenes. The karyotype studies were also conducted, and the results are presented. © 2010 Missouri Botanical Garden. Source

The location selection of logistics distribution center is of important strategic significance to optimize modern logistics system. This kind of algorithm based on GIS and genetic algorithm is established on the basis of analysis of traditional location selection algorithm of logistics distribution center. First of all, the elementary logistics distribution center selection and its influence factors are determined. Then influence factors of location selection are analyzed by means of GIS spatial analysis techniques and a serial of candidate sites are obtained. Finally, the best logistics distribution center location was obtained on the basis of genetic algorithm. With the development of modern great sports event, it has been focused on the politics, economy and culture to great sports event. The sponsor takes importance on how to hold the great sports event successfully. So this paper studies on the location selection of great sports event logistics distribution center in combination with GIS and genetic algorithm by means of the method of theory model and example analysis. The conclusion is that the location selection of great sports event logistics distribution center based on GIS and genetic algorithm can benefit to the development of modern great sports event and provide some valuable reference theoretically and practically and shorten the cost of great sports event logistics. © ASCE. The genetic diversity of four new species related to southwestern Sichuan buckwheats was examined using karyotypes, allozymes and intersimple sequence repeats (ISSR). Karyotype analysis showed that Fagopyrum wenchuanense, F. qiangcai and F. pugense are diploid (2n = 2x = 16) while F. crispatofolium is tetraploid (2n = 4x = 32). The karyotype evolutionary trend of buckwheat indicated that F. crispatofolium, F. gracilipes var. odontopterum and F. gracilipes seemed to be more advanced than F. wenchuanense, F. qiangcai, F. pugense, F. esculentum, F. cymosum and F. tataricumare. Three polymorphic enzyme systems were used for the examination of variation, including peroxidase, esterase and superoxide dismutase. Consistent banding patterns were obtained for esterase and superoxide dismutase, while peroxidase produced a large number of sharp bands. A total of 18 ISSR primers were selected for the analysis and showed high variations among the species. Allozymes and ISSR markers were utilized to estimate the genetic distance among accessions and to draw phylogenetic trees. Our data provide evidence of a high degree of genetic diversity among southwestern Sichuan buckwheats. In addition, both cultivars and wild types showed a high degree of divergence suggesting a complex domestication process in this crop. This study provides a better understanding of evolutionary mechanisms and genetic relationships in four new species of buckwheat. © 2012 Springer-Verlag. Source
