One of the biggest challenges in multispectral image interest point detection is the variation of radiation. Many methods have been proposed to address this problem. However, the detection performance is still unstable. In this paper, a robust point detector is proposed. Firstly, image illumination space is constructed by using a parameters adaptive method. Secondly, a phase congruency based interest point detection algorithm is adopted to compute candidate points in illumination space. Then, all interest point candidates are mapped back to the original image and a non-maximum suppression step is added to find final interest points. Finally, the feature scale values of all interest points are calculated based on the Laplacian function. The experimental results show that the proposed method performs better than other traditional methods in feature repeatability rate and repeated features number for multispectral images. © 2016 SPIE.

With the white light speckle correlation method as the test method, the whole process of deformation of one kind of sandstone is studied by uniaxial compression. The whole process of the surface of the specimen speckle field image is loaded through the test of white light speckle measurement record. The white light speckle correlation method is used to analyze the test image. During the force, the crack initiation-extension-fracture damages the whole progress. Both The samples of the stress and strain curve and the photos of corresponding microstructure change reveal the nature of the deformation of rock burst, and explain the mechanism of rock deformation and failure satisfactorily. © 2015 ejge.

A rule-based parametric modeling (RPM) method is proposed to dynamically generate virtual environments for simulation and analysis of the dynamics of coupled systems in high-speed trains. First, a precise and complete basic-element model base is built according to the modeling requirements of virtual simulation environments. Meanwhile, the classes of and relationships between the basic-element models are defined with respect to the geometrical, topological, semantical and appearance properties of these models. Then, multi-level semantic constraint rules and a parametric modeling method are designed to accurately analyze the simulation parameters and to rapidly integrate various basic-element models for automatic generation of virtual high-speed railway environments. Finally, after a prototype system is developed, various experiments are carried out for analysis of the advantages of the RPM method. The experimental results show that the RPM method can be used to normalize the error-prone modeling procedure and rapidly generate precise and realistic virtual environments. © 2015 Published by Elsevier Ltd.

According to the uniaxial compression tests of the sandstone samples carried out under the white speckle measuring instrument, the whole development process of the micro cracks in the sandstone during the stress process can be observed and analyzed immediately. Then the photo record of microstructure changes stage of the sandstone can be achieved. They are the compaction, crack development and fracture stage of sandstone respectively. This paper is aimed to analyze the essence of sandstone crack development during the stress and reveal the mechanism of sandstone crack growth. © 2015 ejge.

A matching method for optical and synthetic aperture radar (SAR) images, robust to speckle noise, is presented. Firstly, a coarse correction to eliminate rotation and scale change between images is performed. Secondly, features robust to speckle noise of SAR image are detected by improving the original phase congruency based method. Then, feature descriptors are constructed by combining the Gaussian-Gamma-Shaped bi-windows based gradient operator and the histogram of oriented gradient pattern. Finally, descriptor similarity and geometrical relationship are combined to constrain the matching processing. The experimental results demonstrate that the proposed method provides significant improvement in correct matches number and image registration accuracy compared with other traditional methods. © 2015 IEEE.
