2, 2'-Bis [4-(4-aminophenoxy) phenyl] propane (BAPP) is synthesized through a nucleophilic substitution reaction and a subsequent catalytic reduction, by using p-chloronitrobenzene and bisphenol A as raw materials, 5% of Pd/C as catalyst and H2 as a reductant. Polyformaldehyde (POM) is a modern engineering plastic with excellent characteristics and there is a huge demand for it in China and the world. An industrial plate dryer process with nitrogen protection was newly developed to meet the emerging needs for big-scale and energy-efficient dryers in the production of POM. The plate dryer developed has a production capacity of 43 tons/day POM powder and a thermal efficiency of 78%. Chlorinated polyvinyl chloride was synthesized via gas-solid phase method in a fluidized bed reactor by ultraviolet initiation. The kinetic behavior of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) chlorination was studied. The effects of reaction temperature, reaction time, concentration of chlorine and ultraviolet light intensity on chlorination of PVC were investigated. The kinetic model of chlorination of PVC was established according to radical reaction mechanism and the parameters were estimated. The results show that the kinetic equation model is well agreed with the reaction experimental data, and the activation energy is 82.6 kJ/mol, the pre-exponential factor is 9.97×1010 s-1. Source

Industrial drying technology in Chinese industry has been developing rapidly since the early 1980s. In the past 30 years, many products on both a small and a large scale have been initiated. The number of dryer varieties made in China has expanded from 10 to 60. About 20,000-30,000 dryers are made in China each year. Review of this development indicates that the tremendous progress in drying technology is due to a series of policy decisions and measures that were carried out, such as imported technology assimilation and further improvement of advanced overseas technology combining production and research and development. Drying technology development has benefited from the rapid economic development in China as well as market pull and market competition. The material quality of scraped thin film evaporators is compared. The comparison of three kinds of stainless steels, 304L, 316 and 1Cr18Ni9Ti, are carried out in a macroscopic and microscopic point of view. The corrosion reason and process of scraped thin film evaporators are analyzed. The corrosion resistance of 316L stainless steel used in scraped thin film evaporators is proposed to have relatively better corrosion resistance. Source
