A series of novel derivatives of triazolopyrimidines were synthesized by a one-pot reaction of 3-amino-1,2,4-triazole, different acetoacetamides and aryl aldehydes in using heating within 30 min. The structures of the target compounds were confirmed by inspection of their 1H- NMR, IR and MS spectra. The advantages of this method are short reaction times, good yields, high selectivity and operational simplicity.

Synthesis of various (N-(2-chloro-4-(trifluoromethyl) phenyl)-4-(substitutedphenyl)-1,2,3,4-tetrahydro-6-methyl-2-oxopyrimidine-5-carboxamide 3(a-o) from N-(2-chloro-4-(trifluoromethyl) phenyl)-3-oxobutanamide, Substituted benzaldehydes and urea in presence of Conc.HCl. The structures of the synthesized compounds were confirmed on the basis of spectral and elemental analysis. The synthesized compounds were screened for antimicrobial activity.

6-amino-4-(substitutedphenyl)-1-(2,4-dinitrophenyl)-3-methyl-1,4-dihydropyrano[2,3-c]pyrazole-5-carbonitrile have been prepared by the refluxation for five hours of 2-(2,4-dinitrophenyl)-5-methyl-2,4-dihydro-pyrazol-3-one, malononitryle, substitutedbenzaldehyde and piperidine in presence of ethanol the intermediate 2-(2,4- dinitrophenyl)-5-methyl-2,4-dihydro-pyrazol-3-one synthesized by the condensation of Ethyl acetoacetate and 2,4- di-Nitro Phenyl Hydrazine. The synthesized compounds were characterized by means of their IR, 1 H-NMR spectral data and elemental analysis. All the synthesized products were evaluated for their antimicrobial activities by Cup borer method.

Complexes of 2-(8-Quinolinol-5-yl)- amino methyl-3(4-methyl phenyl)-5-(Phenyl)-Pyrazoline with Co(II), Mn(II) and Ni(II) have been synthesized and characterized using elemental analysis, IR spectra, NMR spectra, Reflectance spectra, Conductivity measurements and antimicrobial activity. These studies revealed that they are having octahedral geometry of the type [ML 2 (H 2O) 2].The compounds show net enhancement in activity on coordination of metals with ligand but moderate activity as compared to standard drugs.

Pyrazolines are well-known and important nitrogen containing 5-membered heterocyclic compounds and various methods have been worked out for their synthesis. A new series of 3-chloro-1-(4-[5-(substituted phenyl)-4,5-dihydro- pyrazol-3-yl]phenyl)-4-(4-cholorophenyl)azetldin-2-one are synthesized by reacting 3-chloro-1-(4-[3-(substituted phenyl)prop-2-enoyi]phenyl)-4-(4- chlorophenyl)azetldin-2-one with 99% hydrazine hydrate. All these compounds were characterized by means of their IR, 1H NMR, spectroscopic data and microanalysis. All the synthesized products were evaluated for their antimicrobial activity. All the compounds were tested for their antibacterial and antifungal activities by broth dilution method.

Chalcone have displayed an impressive array of biological importance. A series of Chalcone were prepared by Claisen-Schmidt condensation from 1-(4-acetylphenyl)-3-chloro-4-(4-hydroxyphenyl) azetidin-2-one with appropriate aromatic aldehydes in the presence of aqueous solution of alkali and ethanol at room temperature. The synthesized compounds were characterized by means of their IR, 1H-NMR spectral data and elemental analysis. All the compounds were tested for their antibacterial and antifungal activities by broth dilution method.

4-chloroaniline reacts with 1-(4-hydroxyphenyl)-ethanone in presence of 1-napthonicacid and copper metal as a catalyst gives 1-(4-(4-aminophenoxy) phenyl)ethanone, which on further condensation with 4-nitrotoluene-2-sulfonyl chloride gives N-(4-(4-acetylphenoxy)phenyl)-2-methyl-5-nitrobenzenesulphonamide. This derivative react wit various substituted aldehydes to give corresponding substituted chalcone derivatives (N-1). Now these derivative (N-1) on condensation with hydroxylamine hydrochloride gives 2-methyl-5-nitro-N-(4-(3-(5-substituted-4,5-dihydroisoxazol-3-yl)phenoxy)phenyl)benzenesulfonamide (N-2). Structure elucidation of synthesized compounds has been made on the basis of the elemental analysis, 1H NMR spectral studies. The antimicrobial activity of the synthesized compound has been studied against the species Bacillus subtillis, Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli and Salmonella typhi.

In the title compound, C14H16N2O 4S, the thiadiazine ring is in a half-boat conformation. The aromatic ring deviates from the plane of this moiety at an angle of 74.6 (2)°. The structure displays intermolecular N - H⋯O hydrogen bonding [N⋯O = 2.8157 (16) Å], creating ribbons along the [010] axis. There are also weak C - H⋯O interactions in the crystal but no π-π stacking. © 2012 International Union of Crystallography.
