Collaborative test on the ISO 13110:2012 "Cigarettes-Determination of menthol in smoke condensates-Gas chromatographic method" was conducted in six domestic laboratories. The results showed that: 1) Extracting for 20 or 60 minutes had no significant influence on the determining results of menthol; 2) The precision of these studies was in the same order of magnitude as those described in ISO 13110:2012, the ratio of repeatability limit (r) to the mean of menthol contents was less than 10% and the ratio of reproducibility limit (R) to the mean of menthol contents ranged from 25% to 45%. The GC method described in ISO 13110:2012 is suitable for domestic menthol cigarettes. Source

To prevent film from wrinkling or loosely wrapping around cigarette carton produced by FOCKE-779 Packer, the process of cigarette carton packing and the nature of film shrinking were analyzed. By referring to the principles of hot air heating and pneumatic drying, the original shaping device with double-heater was replaced by a pneumatic heating type shaping device, which was composed of a heater, temperature controller and detector, carton turnover mechanism, guide, etc. The film wrapping on the six sides of carton were uniformly heated and shrank evenly. The results of application showed that after improvement, the appearance quality of cigarette carton was promoted, the qualified rate of cartons sampled from market raised from 95.6% to 98.5%. The temporal and spatial distribution of N accumulation in flue-cured tobacco was investigated and the relationship of N accumulation in stalk and leaves with N nutrition status of tobacco plant was studied in field at different N fertilizer levels by using cv. K326 as experimental material. The results showed that the N accumulation amount in stalk and leaves was upper layer > middle layer > lower layer. The N accumulation amount in all organs and layers increased first and then decreased with the proceeding of growth and development, and the maximum N accumulation appeared obviously earlier in leaves than in stalk at each layer. The N accumulation amount in plant extremely significantly positively correlated to the N accumulation amount in leaves and significantly positively correlated to the N accumulation amount in stalk, which extremely significantly positively correlated to the N accumulation amount in middle layer leaves and significantly positively correlated to the N accumulation amount in upper layer leaves, while its relationship with that in lower layer leaves was not significant. It indicated that the N accumulation amount in middle layer leaves reflected the N accumulation amount in whole plant in general. Source
