Through Sonogashira reaction, a novel organic dye sensitizer was synthesized with triphenylamine as electron donor, oxadiazole unit as electron transporter and carboxylic acid unit as electron accepter. The compound was characterized by H NMR, C NMR and UV spectrum. The calculation of energy level of the as-synthesized compound showed that it can be used as TiO2 dye-sensitizer.
