In smart substation, it is an important topic that how to send device status data to the monitoring center securely, reliably and cost-effectively through wireless sensitive network (WSN). At first, it is found through experiment that several shortcomings of WSN communication link such as high loss rate, obvious asymmetry, etc. Then a RETX route metric algorithm based on link quality and containing received signal strength indication (RSSI) value and expected transmission count (ETX) is proposed. The RSSI value is calculated through an algorithm of forward link and reverse link, and furthermore the minimum energy needed for success sending a packet is also calculated. By using this algorithm to online monitor system of smart substation, the network duration of service may be extended, which offers valuable reference to the application of WSN in intelligent online monitoring system for smart substations. © 2012 State Grid Electric Power Research Institute Press.

This paper discussed the application of online monitoring system based on IEC61850 standard in the smart substation. Firstly, the functions and performance requirements of online monitoring system have been discussed, and the functional model and interface model of online monitoring based on IEC61850 have been established; Secondly, the application schema of online monitoring system has been designed for smart substation. Furthermore, according to the practical application in the pilot project, the validity of the models and the schema has been verified, and a summary of the application has been given. © 2012 IEEE.

Abstract-A pulsed-power generator (PPG-I) with a current of 400 kA in amplitude and 100 ns in pulsewidth was constructed. The development of X-pinches and the early stages of wirearray Z-pinches were investigated by X-ray backlighting using the X-pinch driven by PPG-I as X-ray source. The plasma explosion and implosion near the cross point of the X-shape wires can be clearly seen from a series of backlighting images taken at different times of X-pinch discharge. To study the early behavior of the plasma in wire-array Z-pinches, anX-pinch installed in the place of a current-return rod was used as the X-ray source to backlight a wire-array Z-pinch installed in the center between the anode and the cathode. The plasma formation, the interwire plasma merging, and the instabilities were also clearly observed, which can provide a better understanding of the physics of Z-pinches and the basic experimental data to validate simulation models. © 2010 IEEE.

For study of technical difficulties that make Botswana first CFB (Circulating Fluidized Bed) boiler can't reach full load at beginning of loading process, first experiments were carried out as awful experimental cases to analyze influencing factors; Second experiments were carried out as tentative experimental cases to select useful solutions; Third experiments were carried out as targeted experimental cases to execute chose solutions. Results indicate that one prominent difficulty during CFB boiler reaching full load is that boiler operation bed temperature was too high which was a comprehensive effect with some other influencing factors. CFB boiler bed temperature MFT (Main Fuel Trip) set point slight increasing, grain size changing of both start-up material and feeding coal, limestone injecting, fluidizing air of seal pot and FBHE appropriate controlling and FBHE (Fluid Bed Heat Exchanger) gradually start working are taken simultaneously, all these effective solutions solve the technical difficulties and accelerate the boiler reach full load, but attentions still need to be paid for the boiler stable operation permanently in future. © (2013) Trans Tech Publications, Switzerland.

One Indonesia sub-bituminous, one Australia bituminous and blended coal of above two kind coal were burned in a 250kW pilot-scale bias combustion simulator to analyze the effect of coal quality on characteristics of particulate matter formation from pulverized coal bias Ignition during reducing atmosphere with measurement of PM10 by electrical low pressure impactor. The results indicate that particle size distributions of PM10 from pulverized coal bias ignition under various coal quality in a reducing atmosphere differ from those in the tail flue gas of a coal-fired boiler, the number concentration decreases as particle size increase, and mass concentration increases as particle size increase; Sub-bituminous coal produce most PM0.38 and least PM0.38-10, blended coal produce least PM0.38, and bituminous coal produce most PM0.38-10; The particle size distribution of PM10 produced by blended coal shows asymptotic behavior, trend of ultrafine PM0.38 similar to sub-bituminous coal and trend of PM0.38-10 similar to bituminous coal; As fineness and moisture of pulverized coal increase, the ignition get worse, and formation of PM0.38 and PM0.38-10 decrease. © 2016 Chin. Correlation between the characteristics of HCN/NH 3 releasing from coal during rapid pyrolysis and the NO x formation trend in the circulating fluidized bed boiler that burns the same coal was studied. First, experiments were carried out in the high temperature drop tube furnace to analyze releasing characteristics of HCN/NH 3 under the condition that pyrolysis temperatures are 830, 880 and 930°C, and the fed pulverized coal rate is constant; Second, experiments were carried out in the boiler which was maintained with a constant coal flow, and running at bed temperatures of 830°C, 880°C and 930°C to analyze NO x formation trend, and study the correlation of two experiments. Results indicate that as the temperature increases, the releasing amount of HCN decreases slightly first and then increases, meanwhile, that of NH 3 increases first and then decreases; temperature ranges of HCN/NH 3 releasing during pyrolysis of different nitrogen forms in coal are different. As the temperature increases, NO x precursors releasing during pyrolysis and NO x formation in the boiler will both increase. Changes of releasing trends of NO x precursors as the temperature increases will cause the increase of NO x formation in the CFB boiler; there exists a critical temperature for NO x transformation in coal-fired CFB boilers. © 2011 Chinese Society for Electrical Engineering.

12%Cr martensitic heat-resistant steels are favored for high temperature applications in power plants and other industries. The severe service conditions of elevated temperature and high pressure for long-term lead to degradation in the microstructure and properties, so new theories or models are expected to give much a reliable life assessment under real service condition. A series of superheater tube samples for various service periods had been carefully investigated. The value of hardness decreases obviously with life depletion, and corresponding microstructure show carbide coarsening, microstructure recovery, and other damage characteristics. The morphology and distribution and composition of main precipitates M23C6 varied distinctly. The study of carbide composition evolution shows the most regular trend is the Cr enrichment in M23C6. The Cr/Fe ratio in coarsening particles shows a clear dynamical growth law, a power correlation with service time. ©, 2014, Editorial Office of Transactions of Materials and Heat Treatment. In order to maintain the stable operation of grid system, the grid company requires wind turbine generator system with low-voltage ride through (LVRT) capability. With this issue, the article builds a double-fed wind turbine generator system model, Crowbar circuit strategy model to protect rotor-side inverter and fault pitch control strategy model to inhibition rotor speed during grid fault. Then all the models and strategies are verified by the simulation of grid low voltage. The simulation results show that these models can complete LVRT. © (2012) Trans Tech Publications, Switzerland.
