Feedback control is one of the most important ways to improve coiling temperature control precision during laminar cooling process. Laminar cooling equipments of a hot strip mill and structure of the control system were introduced. Feedback control algorithm based on PI controller and that based on Smith predictor were designed and tested in a hot strip mill respectively. Practical application shows that the feedback control system based on PI controller plays a limited role in improving coiling temperature control precision. The feedback control system based on Smith predictor runs stable and reliable. When the measured coiling temperature deviates from the target value, it can be adjusted to the required range quickly and steadily by Smith predictor feedback control, which improves the coiling temperature control precision greatly, and qualities of hot rolled strips are improved significantly. © 2012 Central Iron and Steel Research Institute.

Surface electromyography (sEMG) signals, a non-invasive bioelectric signal, can be used for the rehabilitation and control of artificial extremities. But this signal is so weak that the electrical voltages ranging from -5 to +5 mv. In order to eliminate the 50Hz noise included in sEMG and hold details of the signal, IIR50HZ notch filter and FIR 50Hz notch filter are design. The compared simulation results show that the application of FIR 50Hz is better than IIR 50Hz in sEMG patter recognition system. © (2013) Trans Tech Publications, Switzerland.

With the development of modern industry, image measurement technology with its high speed ,high precision and non-contact advantages receives high-profile attention. In the machine vision system the size of the process of mechanical parts measured, it is found that the accuracy of the edge position directly influence the accuracy of the measurement results. According to the research on the current sub-pixels positioning of image processing technology, this paper firstly makes a theory analysis and research about sub-pixel location methods based on gray level moment theory and the theory of Gaussian fitting. Then through the parts size measurement experiment, under the premise of contrast location with classical edge detection operators, some groups of data are extracted respectively compared to both of the detection performance and accuracy.Thus it provided the reference for the sub-pixels edge detection algorithm in the actual application. © the authors.

Topology optimization lends an effective tool for lightweight work of machine tools. With variable density algorithm, the mathematical model of optimization was given. After structural analysis, analyzing model for topology optimization, with practical machine tool structure, was built. The method of choices of optimization variables and constraints were related. Based on optimizing calculation, the density contour is displayed. And then the irregular structure after topology optimization is abstracted and simplified, building new improvements of machine tool structure based on topology optimization results. Re-analysis results show that, after optimization, the structure compliance is reduced; and the 1st-3rd natural frequencies are improved; the structure mass is reduced by 5.55%. Meanwhile, the new structural changes are very easy to achieve for the processing technology. With further maturity of topology optimization theory, the lightweight work of machine tools will have increasingly active role to reduce material consumption. © Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg 2011.

With the development of information technology, knowledge-based economy and e-commerce become popular in the world. In the competitive environment, the key to contributing to the development of enterprise is to accumulate and manage knowledge efficiently. At the same time, wiki system is forging ahead toward the great goal of being worldwide Knowledge Management System(KMS). Compared with other implementation methods of knowledge transmission and sharing, wiki has great advantages to be an enterprisegrade KMS. After a deep and comprehensive research in this field, JSPWiki has been the final choice to be a prototype of system design, which is based on JSP/SERVLET. The KMS proposed in this paper is based on JSPWiki. It has added functions of knowledge audit, system log and full-text retrieval besides JSPWiki's original function modules. In addition, it has also adds Hibernate which is a well-performed framework to strengthen ability of database operation and embedded JBPM(Java Business Process Management) to implement the function of knowledge audit. The system has been deployed in a real product environment. The result shows that it brings lots of benefits to enterprise for managing knowledge. © 2013 IEEE.

Influenced by the geometry and boundary condition's complexity of the model, as to the heat conductor with complicated shape or non-linear boundary condition, the model must be simplified a lot, before it's heat dissipating capacity can be calculated with the mathematic method, the course is quite complicated, and the error is large. Utilizing finite element software, an universal program has been worked out by the APDL, and it can output the heat dissipating capacity of appointed surfaces in analysis software. The program is so powerful that it can calculate the heat dissipating capacity of heat conductor in which the heat transfer two-dimensionally or three-dimensionally even if the heat conductor is anisotropic, which is difficult to calculate with the mathematic analysis method. The method mentioned in the paper can diminish the inaccuracy caused by the predigestion with the mathematic analysis method. The calculation principle of the program was introduced in detail. Comparing the result of the program with that got by mathematic method, it was indicated that the calculation error of program is smaller than 1%. © (2011) Trans Tech Publications.

In order to improve the flat, gauge control precision and surface quality of casting strips, processing parameters were optimized based on a kiss point position calculation model (combining a Bayesian neural network and a theoretical model) and using a particle swarm optimization method under given chemical composition and process constraint conditions. Optimized and experimental results showed good agreement.

According to the determinate criterion for the failure of a large complex rotor system, a reliability model based on the resonance failure was proposed and the reliability robust optimization design parameters for the rotor system could be accurately obtained. Firstly, based on the rotor dynamic theory the weakest link was identified, and the real isolative margin and allowable isolative margin were assessed. The resonance reliability model for rotor system judged by the criterion that the real isolative margin could be more than the allowable one. Then using the neural network technology, reliability design theory and modified reliability sensitivity design theory, the influence degree of original random parameters on reliability was computed out and found out which parameter has a high influence degree. Finally, reliability robust optimization design theory for system was studied to reduce sensitivity of random parameters to reliability on the basis of ensuring a certain reliability. ©, 2014, Dongbei Daxue Xuebao/Journal of Northeastern University. Traditionally, some of the charging tables keep running even when there is no slab on them, which generates a waste of energy. The authors have developed a new method to solve this problem. In this method, the tables run and stop according to the positions of the slabs, which gain more effective utilization of energy. Two key points are discussed in the method. One is the slabs position tracking method and the other is automatic speed control method for charging tables. On site application in a 3500mm plate mill of Tangshan Steel Co. shows that the new method saves 15% of power compared with the traditional method. © 2011 Chinese Assoc of Automati.
