Have a full summary about the jacked pile on the strengthening technology and the construction phase. Have a discussion about the cause of soil compaction effect and additional settlement during the construction phase. Put forward with 6 kinds of measures to reducing soil compaction effect and 5 kinds of measures to prevent additional settlement of jacked piles due to the construction. Finally, present the foundation treatment of an industrial plant floor reinforcement case with jacked piles as an example, introduced the detail of different construction technology and processes. Combine with dynamic monitoring of the deformation of column and grounds, optimizing the construction technology to solve the problems in the construction, verify the effect of reducing soil compaction and reduce the additional settlement measures. Through plate loading test of different size, the bearing capacity of fine silty sand and the size effect of plate loading test under this geological condition in Inner Mongolia are studied. The research results show that the size effect influences bearing capacity having important relation with the size of the plate under the condition of same influent soil layer. At certain deep soil layer, there is a limit values of the bearing capacity which varies with the size of plate under the same criteria. The compression modulus calculated with different method at certain soil layer are compared. The results provide references for selecting the size of plate in the plate loading test. Source

For the Expo residential and cultural area high fill project, based on finite element simulation using PLAXIS, firstly the scope of ground treatment in terms of fill thickness and distance are determined with safety factor of PHC K≥2 as control condition; then the effects of treatment by high pressure jet grouting and geogrid-gravel cushion are assessed. The simulation results show that the maximum horizontal displacement and bending moment of PHC pile are at least 30% less than untreated. Through comprehensive analysis of in-situ load test, core drilling and monitor results, it shows that the ground treatment method is effective and worthy of wide application in practical engineering. The pile-net composite foundation with large diameter rigid piles is used in the tank for the first time. The design, simulation and optimization of the pile-net composite foundation are discussed. According to the calculation of the rigid pile-net composite foundation, it can substantially reduce the settlement and differential settlement of the tank base. On the basis of the preloading settlement monitoring, it is revealed that the results of three-dimensional finite element method are close to the actual test results. Soil pressure cells are installed on the top of the pile bearing stage and in soil between piles. According to the actual monitoring, the sharing ratio between piles and soil is calculated. Large-diameter rigid pile-net composite foundation, compared to the traditional pile-raft foundation, can save more than 60% of investment and more than 50% of time. Source

Have a whole study about large-scale field tests of landfill near buildings in soft soil in Shanghai. Through the different stages of fill research and analysis, we study the additional settlement of building and the negative friction on the PHC pile. We study the interrelationship among height of the filling, the shaft displacement of pile, shaft horizontal earth pressure on the pile. The distance is obtained within which the filling can have some influence on the negative frictional force of the pile and the lateral soil pressure, and also the major stratum. A safety distance is obtained save impact on the nearby pile foundation from the influence of the height of fill and thickness of weak soft layer. Based on the different characteristic of influence on the nearby structure foundation, the additional settlement of the nearby structure foundation and the horizontal thrust of the pile foundation are treated properly by two different in-situ monitoring cases of foundation treatment.
