Sheikh Bahaei University or SHBU also known as Sheikh Bahaei University and SHBU,was established by virtue of the 1994 Law of non–governmental and non-profitable universities and institutions through the efforts of ten professors from the University of Isfahan.Sheikh Bahaei University is governed according to educational regulations of the High Council of Cultural Revolution and the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology, the latter endorsing its credential degrees. Like many other universities and institutes affiliated with the Ministry, it admits students through the National Entrance Examination held by the Iranian Educational Testing Organization. The students are therefore to comply with the rules and regulations set by the mentioned Council and Ministry in all aspects of their education including matters related to student affairs, discipline, tuition and fees. In this paper, we consider different kinds of generalized vector variational-like inequality problems and a vector optimization problem. We establish some relationships between the solutions of generalized Minty vector variational-like inequality problem and an efficient solution of a vector optimization problem.We define a perturbed generalized Stampacchia vector variational-like inequality problem and discuss its relation with generalized weak Minty vector variational-like inequality problem. The design of an optimized logic circuit that implements a desired Boolean function is of interest. Optimization can be performed in terms of different objectives. They include optimizing the number of gates, the number of levels, the number of transistors of the circuit, etc. In this paper, we describe an approach using genetic programming to optimize a given Boolean function concerning the above mentioned objectives. Instead of commonly used set of gates, i.e. {AND, OR, NOT, XOR}, we use the universal NAND gates which lead to a faster and more compact circuit. The traditional gate minimization techniques produce simplified expressions in the two standard forms: sum of products (SOP) or product of sums (POS). The SOP form can be transformed to a NAND expression by a routine, but the transformation does not lead to optimized circuit; neither in terms of the number of gates, nor the number of levels. Experimental results show our approach produces better results compared to transforming the SOP form to the NAND expression, with respect to the number of gates, levels and transistors of the circuit. © Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg 2011.

Chemical exchange saturation transfer (CEST) is a new mechanism of contrast generation in magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) which differentiates molecule biomarkers via chemical shift. CEST MRI contrast mechanism is complex and depends on radio frequency (RF) pulses used in experimental conditions. To find the optimal RF pulse, numerical solutions of Bloch-McConnell equations may be used. The purpose of this work is to compare the effects of different RF pulses on the CEST phenomenon. First, a two-pool exchange model for CEST in MRI is used. Z-spectra and signal calculations for the two-pool model have been carried out for some RF pulses. Efficiency of both continuous and binomial RF pulses is investigated by calculating three parameters, namely: CEST image contrast, flip angle and specific absorption ratio (SAR). The contrast of CEST image is considered proportional to amount of saturation. As a binomial RF pulse, WALTZ-16* demonstrates a good efficiency, but generates some unwanted direct saturations. On the other hand, continuous RF pulses do not create any unwanted direct saturation, but have less efficiency. © 2012 IEEE.

For the first time, pyromilling synthesis for production of nanocrystalline titanium carbide was presented in this research. Raw materials containing stoichiometric ratio of titanium and carbon were milled and heated simultaneously. Samplings were done at different times. Then, phase transformation, crystallite size and strain of samples were estimated by XRD technique. Microstructures of milled samples were studied by SEM and TEM. Results showed that by increasing temperature, milling time for synthesizing of titanium carbide was reduced. Crystallite size of milled samples were in nanometer scale which were reduced by increasing of milling time and decreasing of temperature while strain was intensified. Existence of created strain changed lattice parameter of synthesized titanium carbide from standard value. © 2013 World Scientific Publishing Company.

In this paper, we obtain several new generalized KKM-type theorems under a new coercivity condition and the condition of intersectionally closedness which improves condition of transfer closedness. Looking up unfamiliar words and writing their meanings in the margin of the texts is a common lexical processing strategy which serves to comprehension and retention of words’ meanings when reading English academic textbooks. This study investigated words in academic textbooks looked up by Iranian university TEFL students in hopes of throwing light on challenges and errors they experience. The findings revealed that students extensively consulted the dictionary and were successful in many cases but their dependency on bilingual dictionaries and also their tendency to rely on the initial sense provided in the dictionary led to failure for cases such as technical terms, polysemous entries, and words with different parts of speech. Among the pedagogical implications of these findings is the need for further training of students for effective use of the dictionary while reading academic texts. © Australian International Academic Centre, Australia.

The present study was carried out to scrutinize the possibility and extent of transfer at the level of concepts in parity and internal content based on Jarvis’ (2007) framework among Iranian EFL learners having the following in focus: concepts in Persian that do not have counterparts in English, concepts that are broader than a corresponding concept in English or vice versa, and concepts in Persian and English that seem to be broadly equivalent but are still different. Also, it investigated to examine the role of the two learner-based variables of language proficiency and age in Iranian EFL learners’ possible conceptual transfer. To serve the purpose, the data were collected from 100 Iranian learners (70 females, 30 males) studying English as a foreign language in an English Language School in Mobarakeh, Isfahan. With the data being submitted to statistical analyses, the findings revealed significant cases of conceptual transfer from Persian to English. It was also noticed that the participants’ level of English proficiency played a significant role in their transfer of concepts but their age did not. © 2012, Australian International Academic Centre PTY LTD. This document is about optimizing one of the simplest sorting networks named Odd-Even Transposition Sorting Network. This network, because of simple structure, is very suitable to be implemented on two dimensional arrays of processors. In this paper, we consider the optimization of the aforesaid network. At the end we can see that with optimization the steps to be done for sorting a sequence are clearly reduced. © 2010 IEEE.

To increase fault tolerance in distributed database, it is better to add a backup server for each primary server in the system. It is clear that the primary server and backup server need to be connected to each other. To connect these computers to each other when they are in a long distance, it is necessary to use a lease line which needs to be charged as data is transferred. As more packets are transferred between primary and backup server, more money need to be paid for charging this line. So if number of transferred packets between these computers reduces, the company can economize in its expenditures. On the other side, when number of updating information from the primary server to backup server reduces, the number of transaction which should be performed in the backup server reduces. To achieve this goal, we introduce a new method which reduces the number of transferred packet between primary and backup server. In this method, the replicated data of primary server is used to backup mechanism. In our method the primary server sends transactions in data which are not replicated in other computers. So the transactions on the replicated data are not transferred to backup server, and as a result the numbers of transferred packet get reduce. © 2005 - 2010 JATIT. All rights reserved.
