The molecular high-order-harmonic generation (molecular HHG) of HeH2 + is investigated by numerical integration of the non-Born-Oppenheimer time-dependent Schrödinger equation. The results show that multichannel interference plays a very important role in the process of asymmetric molecular high-order-harmonic generation. By means of the classical returning kinetic energy map and the time-frequency distribution, the mechanism of molecular HHG for HeH2+ is discussed in detail. Further studies show that asymmetric molecular harmonic emission is very sensitive to the nuclear signatures, i.e., the initial vibrational state and the isotopic effect. Besides, the electron-nuclear probability density distributions are calculated to better understand the process of the asymmetric molecular HHG, from which the electron-nuclear dynamics can be revealed. © 2013 American Physical Society.

This paper provides a delay-dependent criterion for a class of descriptor systems with a delay varying in an interval. This criterion, which can ensure the descriptor system is regular, impulse free and stable, involves fewer matrix variables but has less conservatism. We present a method to manipulate the recombination channels in harmonic emission from HeH2+ via combing a multicycle trapezoidal laser field and a static electric field. By solving the time-dependent Schrödinger equation, we find that the positive peak intensity can steer the electron localization by controlling the electron transfer at the time of laser polarization direction antiparallel to the permanent dipole of HeH2+. With appropriate laser parameters, the recombination channels originating from the nucleus He2+ are effectively controlled by enhancing electron localization around the nucleus H+. Additionally, an isolated 48-as pulse can be obtained by superposing proper harmonics. Time-frequency maps, electronic wave packet probability density and a laser dressed picture of the Coulomb potential are adopted to provide the underlying physical mechanism. © 2014 Astro Ltd.

We employ the Nyström method with the extended Simpson's rule to solve numerically the Schrödinger equation in momentum space with the screened Cornell potential. Two peculiar phenomena, furcation and deviation of the first point, occur in the obtained eigenfunctions. By applying the Landé subtraction method to remove or relieve the singularities in the integrands, the furcation phenomenon disappears, the deviation of the first point is weakened, and the obtained eigenvalues have high accuracy. © 2012 American Physical Society.

Polydimethylsiloxane-poly(ethylene oxide) (PDMS-PEO) has been successfully used as the co-template to prepare ordered mesoporous polymer-silica and carbon-silica nanocomposites with diverse mesostructures by using Pluronic F127 or P123 as main templates and phenolic resol polymer as a carbon precursor via the strategy of evaporation-induced self-assembly (EISA). The structures of resulting mesoporous materials have been characterized by small-angle X-ray scattering (SAXS), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), and nitrogen-sorption measurements. Experiments show that the ordered mesoporous polymer-silica and carbon-silica nanocomposites of two-dimensional hexagonal (p6m) and body-centered cubic ( $$ Im\bar{3}m $$ ) mesostructure have been achieved. A novel lamellar polymer-silica mesostructure stable up to 350 °C calcination is also obtained. Higher hydrophobicity of PDMS than PPO is believed to be the key factor that influences the swelling of F127 micelles and their further self-assembly behaviors into ordered mesostructures, resulting in different symmetries of the mesostructures. Surfactant removal and subsequent carbonization creates ordered mesoporous polymer-silica and carbon-silica nanocomposites, respectively. This simple one-pot route provides a pathway for large-scale convenient synthesis of polymer-silica and carbon-silica nanocomposites. © 2010 Springer Science+Business Media, LLC.

The bounded real lemma for positive discrete time-invariant systems is addressed in this study. The results about bounded real lemma for continuous time-invariant systems are extended into discrete time-invariant systems. Such systems are asymptotically stable and their H∞ norm less than one is equivalent to that the corresponding linear matrix inequality admits a diagonal positive-definite solution. The last example in this study illustrates the result does not hold for general discrete time-invariant systems. © The Institution of Engineering and Technology 2013.

A simple, sensitive and rapid flow-injection chemiluminescence (CL) method has been developed for the determination of indole derivatives including indole-2,3-dione (isatin) and indole-3-acetic acid (IAA), based on the increased CL reaction of potassium permanganate-formaldehyde system in acidic medium. Strong CL was observed when the indole derivatives were injected into the acidic potassium permanganate solution in a flow-cell. Under the optimum conditions, the linear range of the determination was 0.1-100.0 μM for isatin and 0.01-10.0 μM for IAA. The detection limit (3σ) was 10.0 nM for isatin and 1.0 nM for IAA. The method has been successfully applied to the determination of isatin in biological samples and of IAA in biological samples and soil extracts with satisfactory results. © Springer-Verlag 2009.

A series of isostructural metal-carboxylate frameworks [Me 2NH 2][M 2(bptc)(μ 3-OH)(H 2O) 2] (H 4bptc = 3,3′,4,4′- biphenyltetracarboxylic acid, M = Co, Co 0.83Ni 0.17, Co 0.55Ni 0.45, Co 0.13Ni 0.87, and Ni for 1-5, respectively) have been synthesized, which feature (4,8)-connected scu topological anionic frameworks constructed by a butterfly-like [M 4(OH) 2(RCO 2) 8] cluster and have three-dimensional (3D) channels filled by in situ generated [Me 2NH 2] + cations. Flame atomic absorption spectroscopy (FAAS), scanning electron microscope energy-disperse X-ray spectroscopy (SEM-EDS), infrared spectroscopy (IR), Raman spectroscopy, and powder X-ray diffraction (PXRD) measurements reveal that 1 can selectively exchange alkali metal cations. Magnetic properties display that monometallic 1 and 5 are characteristic of a antiferromagnet and a ferromagnet, respectively. Incorporation of Co and Ni into the system produced heterometallic compounds 2, 3, and 4. Compound 2 with a very low ratio of Ni to Co shows antiferromagnetic behavior similar to 1, while compounds 3 and 4 with a large ratio of Ni to Co are characteristic of ferrimagnetic-like behavior. This work demonstrates that magnetic tuning from antiferromagnetic, ferrimagnetic-like, to ferromagnetic behaviors can be achieved by heterometallic substitution in isostructural magnetic frameworks. © 2011 American Chemical Society.

The multichannel recombination in high-order-harmonic generation (HHG) from the asymmetric molecular ion HeH2+ has been investigated by numerically solving the time-dependent Schrödinger equation based on the non-Born-Oppenheimer approximation. In this paper, not only has the physical image in harmonic emission from the asymmetric molecular ion been established, but also the distinguishing of recombination channels has been achieved. Moreover, our quantitative calculations show that the recombination channels from different electronic states make different contributions to HHG. Furthermore, by means of the time-frequency maps, electron-nuclear probability density distributions, and the laser dressed state picture, the physical mechanism of the multichannel recombination has been revealed. © 2014 American Physical Society.
