With stearic acid and diethylenetrianmine as raw materials, the amide wax is prepared using catalytic synthetic reaction by adding additives, which is used as the surface slow-release agent of fertilizer. The results show that the optimal reaction conditions are as follows: n(stearic acid):n(diethylenetriamine)=1.00:1.05, 140~150°C of reaction temperature, 2~3 hours of reaction time, 0.5 wt% of the catalyst, 0.5 wt% of the hardening agent, 0.5 wt% of the antioxidant. Under above conditions, the color of product is white, the acid number is 5.23 mg(KOH)/g, the dropping point is 78-82°C, the penetration degree is 0.2 mm, and the amine value is 145.42 mg(KOH)/g. The feedback information of the users shows that the product can substitute for foreign like products and the price of the product is lower than that of foreign like products. Source

The modified C5 petroleum resin is synthesized by cationic polymerization with C5 fraction and small amount of propylene as raw material. A sizing agent can be easily made by emulsifying this modified resin. The results show that the optimal conditions of synthesis is as follows: 130°C as the thermal polymerization temperature, 0.70 MPa as the thermal polymerization pressure, 40°C as the reaction temperature, 3 hours of reaction time, 1.8%(mass fraction) as the catalyst used, 40% (volume fraction) as the dissolvent used. Under the optimal conditions, the hue of product can reach Gardnar level 8, the yield coefficient can surpass 52%, the softening point can be lower than 80°C, and the melt viscosity can be about 250 mPa · s.
