A method and system for calibrating a PET scanner are described. The PET scanner may have a field of view (FOV) and multiple detector rings. A detector ring may have multiple detector units. A line of response (LOR) connecting a first detector unit and a second detector unit of the PET scanner may be determined. The LOR may correlate to coincidence events resulting from annihilation of positrons emitted by a radiation source. A first time of flight (TOF) of the LOR may be calculated based on the coincidence events. The position of the radiation source may be determined. A second TOF of the LOR may be calculated based on the position of the radiation source. A time offset may be calculated based on the first TOF and the second TOF. The first detector unit and the second detector unit may be calibrated based on the time offset.

A system and method relating to image processing are provided. The method may include the following operations. First data at a first bed position and second data at a second bed position may be received. The first bed position and the second bed position may have an overlapping region. A first image and a second image may be reconstructed based on the first data and the second data, respectively. Third data and fourth data corresponding to the overlapping region may be extracted from the first data and the second data, respectively. Merged data may be generated by merging the third data and the fourth data. A third image may be reconstructed based on the merged data. A fourth image may be generated through image composition based on the first image, the second image, and the third image.

The method may include receiving a flood histogram of a subject; determining a crystal central position map based on the flood histogram, the crystal central position map including a plurality of crystal central positions, forming rows and columns of the plurality of crystal central positions to generate a labelled crystal lookup table, forming a template based on the rows and the columns in the labelled crystal central position map, and correcting the labelled crystal central position map based on the template and the flood histogram to obtain a corrected crystal central position map. A crystal lookup table may be formed.

Method and Apparatus for eliminating motion artifacts in magnetic resonance imaging are disclosed according to the present invention. The present invention relates to magnetic resonance imaging field. The method for eliminating motion artifacts in magnetic resonance imaging according to the present invention utilizes the concept of iterative approximation to control the difference between the data lines in the K-space caused by motions and allow the common features between the data lines to be remained, such that the motion artifacts in the reconstructed image are restrained and the motion artifacts caused under various circumstances are well restrained. Accordingly, the quality of the magnetic resonance imaging is improved.

A system and method for obtaining a composite image by combining multiple sub-images are provided. In some embodiments, the method may include retrieving overlapping images corresponding to sub-images including 3D volume data, generating two-dimensional (2D) projection images and pixel maps based on the overlapping images, performing one or more registrations based on the 2D projection images and the pixel maps, calibrating the sub-images based on the results of the registration(s), and fusing the sub-images to produce a composite image. In some embodiments, the method may include setting a plurality of parameters relating to an X-radiation source or a radiation detector based on a preliminary number of exposures and a preliminary exposure region, controlling, based on at least one of the plurality of parameters, a motion of the X-radiation source or a motion of the radiation detector to capture a plurality of sub-images, and combining the plurality of sub-images.
