High pressure Ni-H 2 battery is a kind of secondary power consists of a nickel electrode and the hydrogen electrode with the quality of high stability, long service life, overcharge and overdischarge resisting advantages, the United States, Russia and France have launched high pressure Ni-H 2 batteries and has been widely used in satellite, space stations and other areas. Performance of strength, Ability of Antioxidation, Chemical Durability, Dimensional Stability and akali retaition ability were strictly required by Ni-H 2 battery's separators, zirconia cloth separator can satisfy the use requirement in many aspects. Physical and chemical properties of aero density, average thickness, alkaline retention ability, alkaline absorbing ratio and battery performance were tested in this paper. © (2012) Trans Tech Publications, Switzerland. Lithium aluminosilicate (LAS) crystallite glaze with different wollastonite contents were prepared by the sol-gel process. The microstructure, bulk density, bending strength, and thermal expansion of samples were tested and analyzed. The results show that LAS crystallite glaze with an appropriate amount (in mass, the same below) of wollastonite has a lower sintering-temperature and larger crystal temperature range than LAS crystallite glaze without wollastonite. Since viscosity of crystallite glaze is reduced by adding the wollastonite, the crystallization of the crystallite glaze can be boosted. The bending strength of the LAS crystallite glaze reaches the maximum with 5% wolllastonite. The analysis results also indicate that the wollastonite can affect the transformation between β-spodumene and β-eucryptite, resulting in the increase of thermal expansion of the crystallite glaze. However, this change is not linear and has a minimum, and thus an appropriate doping amount of wolllastonite is found to obtain an ideal material with appropriate thermal expansion and other properties. In this paper, β-eucryptite glass ceramics were synthesized by using solid reaction method. Phase constitution, structure and properties of the material were studied by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and differential thermal analysis (DTA). Furthermore, the effects of heat treatment temperature and preservation time on the thermal expansion coefficient were also analyzed. The results showed that the crystallization temperature of β-eucryptite glass ceramics was in the range of 810-860 °C and the content was more than 90%. With the increase of heat treatment temperature, the material expansion coefficient decreased. © (2013) Trans Tech Publications, Switzerland. Source

Fused Quartz crucible with large scale was formed by gelcasting processing in this paper. Effects of dispersant, pH values and particle grading on solids content of slurries were discussed to increase the volume density of the green compacts and decrease the shrinkage and deformation during sintering. Effects of acrylamide content and the ratio of acrylamide to coupling agent on bending strength of the green compacts were investigated. Effects of the amount of initiator and curing temperature on the gelcasting processing were studied as well. The green compacts with solids content of 80% was obtained when the addition ratio of dispersant to Quartz powders was 0.3wt %, the ratio of Quartz powders in D 50 of 1.9μm and 7.6μm was adjusted to 3:7, the addition ratio of acrylamide to Quartz powders was 1.0wt % and the ratio of acrylamide to coupling agent was 16:1. The bending strength of the sinterred produts was found to be 76.0MPa with volume density of 1.94 g/cm 2. Fused Quartz crucible prepared under conditions mentioned above was 800mm in length, 800mm in width and 400mm in height. © (2012) Trans Tech Publications. Source

Porous silicon nitride with pore forming agent of starch were prepared by cold isostatic pressing, forming problem of complex shapes were solved by methods of carbonization of starch and decreasing forming pressure. Products of porous silicon nitride had the performance parameter with density 1.5g/cm 3, porosity over 55%, bending strength over 100 MPa. Source
