A SETARAM C80 calorimeter was used in the experiment to measure the enthalpy of dissolution and thermodynamic properties of trinitrophloroglucinol (TNPG) dissolved in deionized water (H 2O) at 298.15 K. The empirical formula for the enthalpy of dissolution was calculated by polynomial expressions. The fomula is: Δ dissH m= 106.799266-2352.19194b 1/2+15538.58581b. The standard molar enthalpy of dissolution, the relative apparent molar dissolution enthalpy and the relative partial molar enthalpy also were obtained from the experimental data of the enthalpy of dissolution of TNPG in water. The kinetic formula was obtained. From the formula the rate constant and reaction order are deduced.

Steel is the most used material for the confinement plates of composite armors, but other materials may afford better protection against shaped charges. One of the most interesting materials is ceramic because of its hardness, of its relatively small density and of the reduction of collateral damages, and the other one of the most interesting materials is aluminum because of its small density and ductility. We have therefore compared the protection capability of rubber composite armors built either with copper or with steel. For each configuration, we measured the loss energy of the standard charge shaped jet and the change of the tangential velocity of the different layers with simulation measure and point the deformation of the jet when they penetrated the composite armors. We also have done some X-ray experiments to observe the deformation of the jet to test and verify the result of the simulation. Clear correlations are observed between the projection capability and the confinement materials. © (2011) Trans Tech Publications, Switzerland.

In order to know the desensitizing efficiency of 2,6-diamino-3,5- dinitropyridine-1-oxide(ANPyO) on hexogen (RDX), ANPyO/RDX composites were prepared by crystal coating and mixing method respectively. The structures and properties of the two samples were characterized by SEM, laser particle size analysis, TG, DSC, mechanical sensitivity and detonation velocity tests. Results show that ANPyO has a better coating on RDX crystal coating than mixing method ; the average particle sizes of the samples are situated between ANPyO and RDX, and the particle size distribution of sample in crystal coating is more uniform; the decomposition peak temperatures of the samples are lower than that of RDX, the thermal decomposition peak temperatures are higher 6-15°C crystal coating than mixing method;in comparison with RDX and the sample obtained by mixing method the mechanical sensitivity of the samples are lower than that of RDX, and the mechanical sensitivity of the sample in crystal coating decreased more significant.

As an outstanding performance aviation material, the understanding of dynamic behavior of ultrahigh strength steel 30CrMnSiNi2A at high strain rates is of importance in a range of applications. The curves of stress and strain in different strain rates (500~5000s-1) of 30CrMnSiNi2A steel are obtained with split Hopkinson pressure bar(SHPB) experiments, and the micro-deformation characters were observed by metallography. The results indicate that 30CrMnSiNi2A steel is sensible of strain rate, and dynamic compression leads to shear failure with the angle 45°. The yield stress increases from 1655MPa to 1908MPa with increasing strain-rate (500~5000s-1). Through metallographic analyses, the failure is found to be dimple intercrystalline fracture under high strain-rate loading. Meanwhile, the material parameters of Johnson-Cook model are determined through the SHPB experiments and quasi-static results.

A novel denoising method based on the nonsubsampled wavelet-based contourlet transform (N-WBCT) was proposed in this paper. It employs wavelet transform for multi-scale decomposition, and nonsubsampled directional filter banks (NSDFB) for directional decomposition. N-WBCT has not only the properties of multi-resolution and multi-direction, but also the property of translation invariance, which is useful in eliminating the Gibbs phenomenon. The experiment results showed that this algorithm can get higher PSNR and the better visual. © 2010 Copyright SPIE - The International Society for Optical Engineering.

As a remedy for pseudo-Gibbs phenomenon commonly existing in contourlet transform image denoising, a perfectly translation-invariant image denoising technique based on nonsubsampled complex contourlet transform (NCCT) is put forward in this paper. First, it use the dual-tree complex wavelet transform (DT-CWT) for multi-scale decomposition. Second, we apply nonsubsampled directional filter banks (NSDFB) to the DT-CWT coefficients, in such a way to maintain the anisotropy scaling law. The experiment results showed that this algorithm can get higher PSNR and the better visual. © 2010 IEEE.

To achieve that a dynamite source should provide high seismic energy without destroying the oil well in the reversed vertical seismic profile (RVSP) prospecting of petroleum, theoretical analysis was carried out for the energy transfer of the dynamite source and finite element models were developed for the dynamite source and its surrounding media in the oil well. Numerical simulations were conducted by applying the AUTODYN-2D software to explore the interaction between the oil well and the dynamite source. The vibration velocity and pressure curves were obtained for the particle located 10 m away from the seismic source to investigate the influences of the media in the oil well on the energy transfer of the dynamite source. Effects of the charge diameters on the deformation of the oil well pipe were analyzed. And some discussion was made on the effects of the charge length on the energy transfer of the dynamite source and the deformation of the oil well pipe. The corresponding experiment was implemented to compare with the numerical results. The numerical results are consistent with the experimental observations. The research can provide help for the engineering application of the RVSP prospecting.
