Safeguarding farmers' rights is widely understood as one of fundamental principles for carrying out rural residential land consolidation. Taking Pinggu district of Beijing as a case, the participatory rural appraisal and semi-structured interview method were used to survey the rural households' willingness on rural residential land consolidation in rural and farmers' scales, and 748 questionnaires were collected. On the basis of farmers classification and their characteristics analysis, the paper was trying to explore willingness and decision-making factors of different types of rural household on rural residential land consolidation, and synthetically consider the condition of farmers and their needs and preferences on consolidation to discriminate the models of rural residential land consolidation in Ping district, which aims to provide references for governments on how to find a proper way to transfer the rural residential land consolidation with the so-called people-rights-oriented principles. The results indicate that: 1) The farmers' concurrent business has become a common phenomenon in suburban areas of Beijing, and rural households' willingness on rural residential land consolidation is very strong, impacting factors have the common and specific characteristics. 2) From the point of view of rural households' rational choice, with degrees of concurrent business from low to high, the decision-making factors of rural households' willingness on rural residential land consolidation are diverting along the direction of subsistence to economy and then to society. Furthermore, the main factors influencing households' willingness are subsistence rationale, economic rationale, and socio-economic rationale in accordance with the different types of rural households, i.e., agriculture-oriented employee, agricultural-industrial integrated employee, and nonagricultural employee, respectively. 3) There are some remarkable differences about rural residential land consolidation models for different types of rural households, the central village merger model is suitable for agriculture-oriented employee, the intra-village intensification model is suitable for agricultural-industrial integrated employee, and the urbanization transferring model and industry leading model are suitable for nonagricultural employee.

Purpose-Because of the inconvenience and inflexibility of the laser controller, the applied range of optogenetics is limited. This paper aims to present the design of a portable remote-controlled laser controller system, including the remote-controlled system and the laser stimulator. Design/methodology/approach-The remote-controlled system is handheld, which can wirelessly adjust the power and the emitting frequency of the laser by utilizing the ZigBee module. Findings-The laser stimulator can be mounted on the animal as it is light weight (35 g) and small in size (40 × 40 × 20 mm), and its power and frequency can be appropriately adjusted by changing the current amplitude and duty radio. In the end, the experiments verify the reliability and effectiveness of the laser controller. Originality/value-In virtue of the modular design of the driven circuit and the reasonable layout, the whole system has the advantages of small volume, convenient control and high stability, which provide the convenience for the development of portable optogenetics animal robot experiment and has broad market prospects. © Emerald Group Publishing Limited.

Stimulation with a magnetized arc plasma (MAP) can improve seed germination and seedling growth. This technology has been applied in practice and works well. In this paper, the effects of different MAP intensities on old seeds of Spinacia oleracea L. Beiouzhizun were investigated to determine the optimal conditions for improving germination. The vigor and germination rate were compared between treated and untreated seeds under laboratory conditions. The results show that the vigor and rate were much greater for the treated seeds compared to the untreated ones. The germination vigor increased by 217.6% and the germination rate by 137.2% for a treatment intensity of 2.0A repeated three times. This was the optimum treatment for stimulating potential vigor and promoting seed germination. © 2012 Elsevier Ltd.

Cyanidin 3-glucoside (Cy 3-glu) and cyanidin 3-sophoroside (Cy 3-soph) from red raspberry extracts were selected as pigments, and five phenolic acids as copigments. The influences of pH, temperature, structure of anthocyanins and copigments, and molar ratio of anthocyanins to copigments on the copigmentation effect were analyzed with a UV-Visible spectrophotometer. The reaction was thermodynamically defined in terms of ΔH0, ΔG0 and ΔS0 values. The maximum copigmentation effect for Cy 3-glu and Cy 3-soph with ferulic acid was observed around pH 4. Sinapic acid and ferulic acid had stronger copigmentation effect than the other three phenolic acids investigated. The strongest immediate copigmentation was observed at an anthocyanin/copigment molar ratio of 1:100. Lower temperatures favoured the copigmentation reaction. Moreover, the calculated thermodynamic data indicated that the copigmentation reaction was more favourable at pH 4.0 than at pH 3.2 for the same anthocyanin, and more favourable for Cy 3-glu than for Cy 3-soph at the same pH. © 2009 Elsevier Ltd. This work is based on the dry sliding wear of NiCrBSi reinforced coating deposited on TA15 titanium alloy using the laser cladding technique, the parameters of which were such as to provide almost crack-free coatings with minimum dilution and very low porosity. SEM results indicated that a laser clad coating with metallurgical joint to the substrate was formed. Compared with TA15 substrate, an improvement of the micro-hardness and wear resistance was observed for this composite coating. Rare earth oxide Y 2O 3 was beneficial in producing of the amorphous phases in laser clad coating. With addition of Y 2O 3, more amorphous alloys were produced, which increased the micro-hardness and wear resistance of the coating. © 2012 World Scientific Publishing Company.

Metoprolol is widely used in cardiology for the treatment of hypertension and arrhythmia. The neuropsychiatric adverse reactions associated with the use of beta-blockers are relatively uncommon, but sometimes take place when poisoning or overdosing on elderly patients. We present a case of a young patient with low-dose metoprolol which induced acute delirium and in whom the symptoms disappeared within 3 days after metoprolol was ceased. The results illustrated that the neuropsychiatric adverse reactions of metoprolol could be developed not only in elderly patients but also in young patients, which has great significance to direct physicians in their clinical practice. © 2013 Elsevier Inc.

Mg-Cu-Al was first used to improve the surface performance of TA15 titanium alloys by means of laser cladding technique. The synthesis of hard composite coating on TA15 titanium alloy by laser cladding of Mg-Cu-Al-B4C/Mo pre-placed powders was investigated by means of scanning electron microscope, energy dispersive spectrometer and high resolution transmission electron microscope. Experimental results indicated that such composite coating mainly consisted of TiB2, TiB, TiC, Ti3Al and AlCuMg. Compared with TA15 alloy substrate, an improvement of wear resistance was observed for this composite coating due to the actions of fine grain, amorphous and hard phase strengthening. © 2013 World Scientific Publishing Company.

This work was based on the dry sliding wear of Al-Cu-Sn matrix composite coating deposited on titanium using laser alloying technique, the parameters of which were such as to provide almost crack-free coatings with minimum dilution and very low porosity. To our knowledge, it is the first time that Al-Cu-Sn+B4 C mixed powders were deposited as hard coating by laser alloying technique. Scanning electron microscopy results indicated that a laser alloying coating with metallurgical joint to the substrate was formed, and hard fine particles were produced in the matrix of the upper coating due to the in situ metallurgical reactions. Compared with titanium substrate, improvement of the microhardness and wear resistance were observed for such composite coating.
