In this research, the application of repair methods of water leakage cracks using self-healing technologies for subway tunnels is presented. In order to apply crack self-healing water stop agents and quick setting agents in subway tunnels, laboratory and field tests were performed based on various previous researches. Especially, this study focused on development of crack repair materials and their new repair methods. Therefore, various repair materials were examined for new repair materials with self-healing capability applied to crack sealing method and to patching repair method. The results show that the proposed water leak repair methods using water stop agent, quick setting agent and patching materials using self-healing ingredient were effective under the subway tunnel conditions. It is preferable in water leak repair to add self-healing components to sealers and water stop agents. © 2015, Hanyang University. All rights reserved.

This study focuses on high durability mortar against sulfuric acid attack by replacing binary and ternary blend of binder with fully substituted Air-Cooled Blast Furnace Slag (ACBFS) fine aggregate. Two replacement ratio of binder were considered in this study and ten types of binder mix were designed to conduct experiment. And cementitious materials with self-healing capability were prepared in order to apply for theses mortars. Each specimen was manufactured into 3 cm diameter with 5cm height in cylindrical mould. After demolding, specimens were water cured for 28 days. All specimens were immersed into 3% concentrated solution for 60 days and solutions were replaced regularly in consider with loss of sulfuric acid concentration. Mass change of all specimens was measured after removing detached particles gently. From 60days observation, it was shown that specimens with ACBFS performed high resistance to sulfuric acid attack compared to normal fine aggregates in same binder mix. Also, ternary blend mix showed higher resistance than binary blend specimens. © 2015, Hanyang University. All rights reserved.

In this research, properties of new crack repair materials using organic and inorganic composite (OAI) materials were investigated under various crack conditions. Especially, this study aims to develop new composites repair materials as needed to follow the crack and its repair method. Crack repair methods such as injection method and surface treatment repair method using self-healing capability for the practical industrial application were examined in comparison with normal crack repair method as the epoxy injection. From these results, it was confirmed that the sealing and injection effects through the cracks from field tests could be improved by OAI. © 2015, Hanyang University. All rights reserved.
