This paper presents a prototype of lyrics retrieval system that enables users to browse lyrics that relevant with the reflection topics and pictures that relevant with the lyrics. In this research, we use Christian Reflection from Santapan Rohani ( Santapan Rohani is the translation of Our Daily Bread (formerly RBC) devotional publications into Indonesian Language. There are many Gospel (Christian) songs that could be relevant with the topics of devotion. The lyrics that use in this research from hymn books used in Church services in Indonesia (Kidung Jemaat-KJ, Pelengkap Kidung Jemaat-PKJ, and Nyanyikanlah Kidung Baru-NKB). The text processing done in this research is tokenization, word transformation, stop words removal, and stemming. The methods used in this research are TF-IDF form term weighting, and Cosine Similarity for similarity measure. From the experiments, the precision of information retrieval must be improved. When threshold similarity=0.2 with query expansion using scripture/bible reference verses of the day, precision = 16.82%, and without query expansion, precision = 17.59% when threshold similarity = 0.25. © 2016 IEEE.

In this research, we have constructed road assets management system for Surabaya, the second biggest city in Indonesia. As reported in this paper, we have managed 607 assets -comprising traffic signs, traffic lights, and road marking- which are spread out at 365 different locations. The availability of mobile apps, which are equipped with camera and Global Positioning System (GPS), allows our proposed system to be implemented for road assets management system in other cities in Indonesia. The overall system we offered has accommodated three main roles of a system: Administrator, operator, and client. Administrator acts as an officer or a manager of the city transportation department. A number of operators are in charge of acquiring images and physical locations of road assets using camera and GPS of smart phones. Client has an important role in monitoring and providing valid information of damaged road assets for further follow-up maintenance by the manager. Our research has successfully shown that Geo JavaScript Object Notation or GeoJSON-based Web Service provides several advantages in at least three different aspects. First, GeoJSON allows us to handle hierarchical data structure needed when a location might possibly have more than one road assets. Second, web service is able to support an easy distribution of data between web server and client, desktop applications, as well as various mobile apps. Third, GeoJSON supports geometric types of point and polygon, thus the process of checking point in polygon (PIP) is made possible to validate whether a road asset is indeed located on a certain track. © 2016 IEEE.

The big cities in the world always face the traffic jam. This problem is caused by the increasing number of vehicle from time to time and the increase of vehicle is not anticipated with the development of adequate new road section. One important aspect in the traffic management concept is the need of traffic density data of every road section. Therefore, the purpose of this paper is to analyze the possibility of optimization on the use of video file recorded from CCTV camera for visual observation and tool for counting traffic density. The used method in this paper is adaptive background extraction with Gaussian Mixture Models algorithm. It is expected to be the alternative solution to get traffic density data with a quite adequate accuracy as one of aspects for decision making process in the traffic engineering. © 2015 Universitas Ahmad Dahlan.

In this study, we have developed an Indonesian WordNet through four main phases: synonym set extraction (synset) as the smallest entity of lexical database from a natural language, semantic relation establishment between synsets (hypernym-hyponym and holonym-meronym), gloss extraction for synset collection, and the visual editor creation. The Semi-automatic term refers to the three initial phases which are automatically done using a number of machine learning approaches, while using visual editor to collaboratively complement the results collected from the previous phases. A number of raw data used on synset acquisition, semantic relations and glosses come from Kamus Besar Bahasa Indonesia (Great Dictionary of the Indonesian Language, abbreviated as KBBI) and Tesaurus Bahasa Indonesia (Indonesian Language Thesaurus), large collection of web pages from search engines, Wikipedia, and even Princeton WordNet for mapping purpose. This study shows that the proposed system successfully achieve 37,485 synsets, 24,256 hypernym-hyponym relations, 11,044 holonym-meronym relations and 6,520 gloss synsets. Similar approach is believed to accelerate lexical database development like WordNet for other languages. © 2016 SERSC.

Grammar Induction is a machine learning process for learning grammar from corpora. This paper will discuss the process of grammar induction for Indonesian language corpora using genetic algorithm. The Grammar production rules will be modeled in the form of chromosomes. The fitness function is used to count how many sentences can be parsed. The data used are Indonesian fairy tales stories such as "Bawang Merah Bawang Putih" and "Malin Kundang". This paper describes the detailed explanations about the steps of each process carried out for natural language grammar problems. © 2011 IEEE.

Recently, data on the internet grows and it can be used as supporting information for human life. Wikipedia as an online encyclopedia provides many resources, data, and information on the internet. Main problem in our research is how to represent information from Indonesian Wikipedia article into some knowledge representation such as ontology. Ontology is a set of related concept and relation between those concepts. Ontology usually has a large and complex structure because ontology is made to cover a large area topic. Our approach in this ontology building is focused on hyponymy relation and meronymy relation. Our proposed method is using taxonomy template information in Wikipedia to extract hyponymy relation and some pattern to extract the meronymy relation. Our experiment shows that hyponymy relation can be extracted into 5038 relations. For our meronymy relation extraction process has 82.23% as the highest accuracy. © 2015 IEEE.

A Simulation of human behavior are challenge topics of researChin computer intelligent that has many benefits, such as to create a simulation of evacuation plan in a building when a disaster happens, like a fire and an earthquake. For evacuation of the building simulation of human behavior is needed to know which path will be passed through by the crowd. This animation simulation will use particle swarm algorithm optimization as the algorithm based with multiple behaviors and multiple targets. In this simulation, we add the behaviour of avoiding crashed between human and the algorithm modification is done which is a leader character is added. The leader behavior will lead the other agent to get out of the room. This agent based simulation movement will simulate movement in a room when an alarm signal is given, then the agent will get out of the room either individually or in groups. In this research we will use three scenario. We will compared the use of multiple target than single target and the use of leader follower behavior in any different number of agents. From the test result is obtained that the use of multiple target is much better result than use a single target and the behavior of the agent is depend on the movement of the crowd. Utilization of multibehavior with the leader characteristic who direct the other agent to reach target is more useful because it will reach the target more faster but the number of agents will affect the optimal number of leader needed. © 2013 IEEE.

Acrylic is easy to machine. In addition to the advantages derived from the use of mill Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machine on acrylic sheet, there are at least two serious problems that need attention especially in cutting a small part with many vertices. These problems are the presence of excessive heat due to friction between the cutting tool with acrylic sheet on high RPM of spindle rotation, and soft acrylic flakes trapped in crevices of the cutting tools'flute. Generally, the cutting process using a mill CNC machine often is a practice of trial and error. At least nine basic technical parameters need to be optimized. The effectiveness of the parameter values are determined by observing and measuring the actual cutting time using mill CNC machine at given parameter settings, surface texture quality, the level of clarity of the cuts, characteristics of chip formation, and edge roughness. The experimental results showed that the adhesion of acrylic sheet and cutting tools is relatively low. However, the heat of cutting tool due to high spindle rotation, low feed rate, and relatively low melting point of acrylic, tend to form very small, soft, and hot flakes. The acrylic chips have great potential entering the crevices of cutting tools' flutes, and reducing the cutting power significantly. In other condition, the cutting tool could even be broken if feed rate is too high. Some technical values of these parameters are recommended to obtain optimal CNC based cutting operation and surface quality on acrylic sheet. © (2013) Trans Tech Publications, Switzerland.

Participation of citizens in the process of city development is very important. To achieve good governance and democratic, the citizen can participate by providing complaints, information, or advices. In the current system, complaints are handled manually by 1-2 operators, whereas speed and accuracy are needed. The problem is this manual handling causes errors in the determination of appropriate government departments that handle the complaint. This research will propose a system that aims to determine the appropriate government department with complaints given by the citizen with the implementation of K-Nearest Neighbor (KNN) algorithm, to reduce human errors. This algorithm is one of text classification algorithms, which in this research, is used to classify complaints which the texts in Indonesian language. The input of the system is complaint given by the citizen and the output is the name of the appropriate government department, which is in accordance with the contents of the complaint. © 2015 IEEE.

Nowadays public transportation is needed given the current increasing transportation needs in the community because of the density of private vehicles that causes congestion everywhere. Given these reasons, currently people prefer to use public transportation to get to a location or perform daily life activities. But the problem is lack of information of public facilities and routes of available public transportation. This research will propose a system for searching public facility locations with implementation of IDA* algorithm. The input of this system is user's location from a mobile device and the output will be a list of routes that can be viewed in a map. © 2013 IEEE.
