We carried out a detailed study on the Chang7 reservoir of P89 well area of Maling regionusing the core sheet, clay minerals X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy analysis, the characteristics of pore structure of Chang7 reservoir of Yanchang formation in P89 well area of Maling region. The results shows: the rock types of Chang7 reservoir of P89 well area of Maling region are feldspathic sandstone and lithic feldspathic sandstone which with higher levels of interstitial material; The reservoir spaces included pore of dissolution of intergranular, pore of intragranular dissolutions, pores of residual intergranular and microcracks. The throat types are contracted throat, flake or curved throat, shaped tube throat. The pore structure can be divided into four types: low expulsion pressure-fine throat, mid - displacement pressure-subtle-throat, high displacement pressure-micro jets, high displacement pressure - micro throat. Overall, the Chang7 reservoir of P89 well area of Maling region are ultra-low permeability reservoirs and a dense layer reservoir.
