According to the GLR theory, the spectral decomposition theory for various vibration systems, including the damped gyroscopic system, viscous damped system and undamped gyroscopic system, was introduced. Moreover, the orthogonality relations between the eigenvectors of associating vibration system were established, which were then applied to solve the partial pole assignment problem under the condition of delayed state feedback. Taking the viscous damped system as an example, a constructive method was provided for the parametric solution in the multi-input case.

After a review on the existing testbed frameworks for networked information system, we proposed a new virtualization testbed framework which had the merits of scalability, configurability, security, programmability and efficiency. The testbed framework is defined with function components and running view in detail in this paper. The implementation methods for virtualization testbed framework are described and experimental results showed the advantage of virtualization testbed framework. © Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg 2016.

In this paper, the time delay robustness for linear control systems using state feedback is discussed by analyzing the sensitivity of its eigenvalues with respect to time delay. Meanwhile, a new robustness measure is presented which can be applied to robust partial pole assignment problem(RPPAP) in control system design. The problem RPPAP can be formulated as an unconstrained minimization problem with the cost function involving the new robustness measure. A numerical algorithm with analytical formulation of the gradient for the cost function is provided. A numerical example is included to show the effectiveness of the proposed method. © 2013 TCCT, CAA.

Because of wide area deployment, large number of system nodes, and other characteristics of large scale distributed information systems, the system evaluation and testing are more difficult than traditional ones. In this paper, we summarize the requirements of large scale distributed information system evaluation and testing tasks, based on Open Stack architecture and virtualization technology, discuss the mechanism of constructing large scale distributed information system running environment, establish a prototype system and carried out a serious of simulation experiments to verify the feasibility of the proposed mechanism. © 2015 IEEE.

In this paper, we present a new model updating method for damped structural systems. The method has two distinguishing features which are of practical importance. First, it can deal with the spatially incomplete measured modal data without using any standard modal expansion or reduction techniques. Second, the updating is no spill-over which means that the large number unmeasured modal data of the original finite element model is kept invariant during the updating. A numerical example shows that the method is efficient. © 2015 IEEE.

A novel parallelize gender recognition method with MapReduce is presented, which successfully comprise several machine leaning algorithms which are employed for gender recognition. The mass of face sample images are gathered and separated as train dataset and test dataset, and Local Binary Pattern (LBP) features are extracted when those sample sets are pre-processed and made ready for following operations. And Principle Component Analysis (PCA) is applied to train dataset to extract the most distinguishing features. Three classification algorithms: Support Vector Machine(SVM), k-Nearest Neighborhood (k-NN) and Adaboost are implemented and compared to determine the most suitable and successful algorithm for gender parallelize machine learning (GPML). To achieve the shortest execution time, we propose to apply GPML with MapReduce to avoid parallelizing above three algorithms while also improving their scalability to big datasets. The results show that this method reduces the training computational complexity significantly when the number of computing nodes increases while gaining better speedup rates and extending performance than those on parallelize Adaboost. © 2015 IEEE.

The understanding of urban traffic pattern can benefit the urban operation a lot, including the traffic forecasting, traffic jam resolution, emergency response and future infrastructure planning. In modern cities, thousands of taxicabs equipped with GPS can be considered as a large number of ubiquitous mobile probes traversing and sensing in the urban area, whose trajectories will bring great insight into the urban traffic management. Thus, in this paper we investigate the urban traffic pattern based on the taxi trajectories, especially the principal Origin- Destination traffic flow (OD flow) extraction. Focusing on the picking-up and dropping-off events, the issue is solved by a spatiotemporal densitybased clustering method. The OD flow analysis is formulated as a 4-D node clustering problem and the relative distance function between two OD flows is defined, including a clustering preference factor which is adjustable according to the observation scale favor. Finally, we conduct the method on the taxi trajectory dataset generated by 28,000 taxicabs in Beijing from May 1st to May 30th, 2009 to evaluate its performance and interpret some underlying insights of the time-resolved results. © Springer International Publishing Switzerland 2015.

This paper presents the design of two integer frequency dividers, divider-by-2 and programmable divider, which are both applied in wireless sensor networks. The divider-by-2 is used to generate the local oscillator signal for mixers and adopts the common-gate flip-flop with dynamic load. The programmable divider consists of prescaler and programmable counter. All the dividers are fabricated in 0.18 μm CMOS process and can work normally at 1 V in the range of 4-6 GHz. The phase noise of the divider-by-2 is -131.69 dBc/Hz at 3.5 MHz and its core power cost is 1.5 mW. The ratio of the programmable divider can be varied from 2403 to 2480 and its input sensitivity can be as small as -38 dBm at 5 GHz. © 2014 WIT Press.

In this paper, partial eigenvalue assignment problems for time-delayed systems are considered. A constructive method based on the orthogonality relations of quadratic pencil is provided. It is shown that it is possible to assign partial eigenvalues of a vibrating system while keeping the rest of the eigenvalues invariant in the presence of time delay provided that the original system is partial controllable for the eigenvalues that need to change. Specifically, the explicit solution for the single-input case and the parametric solution for the multi-input case are given. © 2014 IEEE.
