In order to evaluate application of Building Information Modelling (BIM) for the facilities of Samaraneftegas JSC, SamaraNIPIneft LLC has completed a project to design the information model of an existing facility to minimize risks during implementation of the innovative procedure. The change-over from design paradigm to application of an information model will inevitably require more effective and more complete interaction between the Customer and the Contractor and this will finally enable further EPCM contract idea development and will make it realized.

The article sets out the methodology for determining pore pressure intervals clay deposits. The authors present results of research of dispersing power and influence of the inhibiting additives by Chenevert's method. Comparison of the inhibitory potency of the studied drilling fluids systems is given. The rock pressure, the minimum and maximum horizontal stress is calculated. The results obtained allowed to optimize the parameters of the washing (density, rheology, filtration, the inhibitory properties of drilling fluids), to offer optimal well trajectories that eventually allowed to propose regulations for accident-free drilling of horizontal wells Samaraneftegas JSC in unstable clay sediments.

This article considers three main applications of proppant hydraulic fracturing in Samaraneftegas JSC as a tool for oil fields development management: 1) low-producing collectors with abnormally high fracturing pressure which cannot be developed without hydraulic fracturing; 2) deposits with highly viscous oil which had no successful practices of EOR methods implementation (traditional for such deposits); 3) newly discovered oil source deposits of Samara region, as a promising areas for maintenance of oil production level in Samaraneftegas JSC.

Geological study in Samara region has long history and, in general, exploration maturity is sufficient. At the same time containing valuable reserves the Devonian sedimentary complex has lower degree of geologic certainty than other formations. Due to the great depth, the Devonian complex has to be studied mostly by deep wells including exploration and development ones. Working capacity is increased by application of modern automated well-log correlation techniques. The article describes the results of investigations concerning Devonian terrigenous petroleum-bearing complex of Samara region in terms of crystalline basement structure and its geological history. The research is based on the results of regional automated well-log correlation. The authors put forward upgraded classification scheme for Devonian formations and show the dependence between tectonics and sedimentary complex morphology.

The paper considers the statement of the problem of development of the tool for monitoring the quality of design solutions and optimization of the designed structures of objects of capital construction in the oil industry. The authors determined fundamental indicators for analysis of designed objects and checking of design solutions quality. There was suggested a method of step-by-step monitoring of the current design of oil field facilities and reference structures that have characteristic parameters tending to best industry specific ratios (CAPEX, OPEX, metal intensity, energy intensity and others).

Yuzhno-Orlovskoye oil field is one of promising and unstudied fields of Samaraneftegas JSC and is being drilled over at the moment. Therefore, placement of new wells (both exploration and production) requires being justified. The article considers a reconstruction of geological model on the basis of integrated geology and development analysis of Yuzhno-Orlovskoye oil field with account for seismic features, reserves re-estimation and objects integration. Expected oil bearing zones are allocated, exploration and production wells placement is suggested.

This paper briefly describes the history and experience of acid treatment almost from the beginning of the Samara region deposits development. A separate chapter is devoted to lessons learned of hydraulic fracturing with proppant in wells that penetrated the carbonate reservoir; the analysis of follow-up working of the wells has become a prerequisite for the initiation of the project of the combined acid and proppant fracturing.

The paper deals with the problem of optimal technological parameters selection while field development scheme planning. In particular the following tasks are solved: pipelines diameters selection, looping placement, pump stations placement and productivity selection. The parameters must be selected to meet technological restrictions requirements and get minimum capital investment. The problem is solved using the method of constructing a coherent plan. An example of industrial application of this method is considered.

The authors consider the experience in abandoning the lengthy shut-downs in oil treatment processes while processing the heavy asphalt/wax content oil at Yakushkinskaya Oil Treatment Plant. They have discovered the objects with non-effective demulsifier usage as well as the objects where these demulsifiers have been used in excess (using the methods of microscopy, of measuring interface and surface tensions in water-oil systems, of thermal and chemical studies, etc.). Recommendations on the most effective demulsifiers are made. Finally due to the use of CTX-5 effective demulsifier and the overall reduction in its demulsifier application they have stabilized the process oil treatment at this process facility.
