Communication has always been on the rise especially when it comes to the transmission of video signals. The problems faced by video transmission include consumption of large bandwidth and video quality at the receiving side. This can be overcome by having a propervideo coding and proper control over the rate of transmission based on channel conditions. In our paper, we focus on these areas and present transmission control technique for wireless video transmission over UWB channel. In our technique, the major emphasis lies on the H.264 encoder and the use of fuzzy controller. The technique comprises of three modules, namely transmission module, control module and receiver module. Proposed technique is implemented using Matlab and the evaluation metrics used are BER and MSE. Comparative analysis is made by comparing our proposed technique to the SamiaShimuet al.[1] results. From the results, the net average BER came about 0.034 for the base compared to 0.032 for the proposed technique and net average MSE came about 117 for the base compared to 48.8 for the proposedtechnique. Colposcopy is one of the methods for cervical cancer screening that uses visual testing based on the color change of abnormal cells that turn white when exposed to acetic acid called AacetoWhite (AW) region. In this paper, a novel approach to detect the AW region in the cervix image based on statistical features and Bayes classifier is presented. Colposcopic images are acquired in raw form, contains cervix, regions outside the cervix and parts of the imaging devices. In the preprocessing stage the irrelevant information in the cervical images are removed based on Mathematical morphology and Gaussian Mixture Modeling and also specularities are removed based on HSI colour space. The detection of lesion (AW region) is achieved by extracting the statistical features such as mean, standard deviation and skewness and the features are used as an input to the Bayes classifier. Colposcopy is a medical diagnostic procedure to examine an illuminated, magnified view of the cervix by a colposcope. Colposcopic images are acquired in raw form, contains major cervix lesions, regions outside the cervix and parts of the imaging devices such as speculum. In this paper, a preprocessing method that removes the irrelevant information from the cervical images based on Mathematical morphology and clustering based on Gaussian Mixture Modeling is presented. The detection of specularities in cervix image is based on intensity and saturation information from the HSI colour space is presented. A novel approach to detect the lesion in the cervix image based on statistical features and Bayes classifier is presented. The detection of lesion is achieved by extracting the statistical features such as mean, standard deviation and skewness and the features are used as an input to the Bayes classifier. In this study multi port AC/DC-DC single stage power electronics converter proposed for grid power supply. The topology includes reduced number of active element and passive element. Passive element is used to provide to achieve improved voltage gain and to reduce the voltage stress of input side switches. The active-clamp circuits are used to recycle the energy stored in the leakage inductors and to improve the system performances. Here two input port (wind and battery unit) and output port connected to dc grid, battery act as charge unit and source. Efficient wind power conversion is achieved by PFC boost dc-dc converter. Renewable energy provides a prominent result in increasing power demand. Multi-port converter is an appropriate solution for continuous power supply. The Four-port Full bridge converter is presented in this paper that can be applied in wind and solar units. The Maximum power of photovoltaic is obtained from Cuk converter. An efficient wind power is preserved from PFC-SEPIC converter. The ultra capacitor is added to control the power flow. Besides PV/Wind power generation, single stage power conversion taken between inputs to output port. Zero voltage switching and ultra capacitor charging control are the additional factors for improving efficiency and power density of this topology. An effective photovoltaic/wind power generation and high step-up power flow control are analyzed using the results implemented and verified in this paper. © Research India Publications. Source
