The present work describes a validated reverse phase high performance liquid chromatographic method for simultaneous estimation of Lornoxicam and Thiocholchicoside in pharmaceutical dosage form. Chromatography was performed on a Varian C18 column (250 mm x 4.6 mm i.d., 5 μm particle size), column with mobile phase containing Methanol, Acetate buffer (PH-4.6) and THF in the ratio of 50:35:15 v/v. The flow rate was 0.5 ml/min and the eluent was monitored at 375 nm. The selected chromatographic conditions were found to effectively separate Lornoxicam (RT- 6.400 min) and Thiocholchicoside (RT- 2.923 min). Linearity for Lornoxicam and Thiocholchicoside were found in the range of 4-100 μg/ml and 2-50 μg/ml. The values obtained of LODs were 0.29 and 0.14 μg/ml, LOQs were 0.89 and 0.44 μg/ml for Lornoxicam and Thiocholchicoside, respectively. The proposed method was found to be fast, accurate, precise, reproducible and rugged and can be used for simultaneous analysis of Lornoxicam and Thiocholchicoside in combined pharmaceutical formulations.

The objective of present study was to prepare and characterize Bilayer tablet formulation containing Metformin HCl in extended release matrix form and Pioglitazone HCl in immediate release form for the treatment of diabetes mellitus. Different formulations containing Metformin HCl were manufactured using 3 2 factorial designs. Influence of hydrophilic carrier, hydrophobic polymer on drug release was studied. Immediate release layer of Pioglitazone was optimized using different super disintegrants. All formulations were evaluated for percentage drug release. Optimization results indicated that release rate of Metformin is directly proportional to the levels of Eudragit S 100 and PEG 6000. Results confirmed that Bilayer tablet formulation containing extended release of Metformin HCl and immediate release of Pioglitazone HCl could be developed by using melt granulation technique.

Watershed morphometric analysis is important for controlling floods and planning restoration actions. The present study is focused on the identification of suitable sites for locating water harvesting structures using morphometric analysis and multi-criteria based decision support system. The Hathmati watershed of river Hathmati at Idar taluka, Sabarkantha district, Gujarat is experiencing excessive runoff and soil erosion due to high intensity rainfall. Earth observation dataset such as Digital Elevation Model and Geographic Information System are used in this study to determine the quantitative description of the basin geometry. Several morphometric parameters such as stream length, elongation ratio, bifurcation ratio, drainage density, stream frequency, texture ratio, form factor, circularity ratio, and compactness coefficient are taken into account for prioritization of Hathmati watershed. The overall analysis reveals that Hathmati comprises of 13 mini-watersheds out of which, the watershed number 2 is of utmost priority because it has the highest degradation possibilities. The final results are used to locate the sites suitable for water harvesting structures using geo-visualization technique. After all the analyses, the best possibilities of check dams in the mini-watersheds that can be used for soil and water conservation in the watershed are presented. © Indian Academy of Sciences.

Cloud Computing offers computation as per utility of the customer and hence it is known as utility computing. This model is attractive mainly for business oriented people because it reduces total cost of operation, maintainance cost, increases return of investment. But the only thing that is impeding popularity of cloud computing is security issues. This paper discuss about AES encryption algorithm (RIJNDAEL) that secure data stored on cloud. This method is more efficient than DES which is symmetry based algorithm and offers 56 bits key size whereas RIJNDAEL algorithm is asymmetry and offers 128 bits key and 128 bits blocks. RIJNDAEL is block cipher algorithm and is secure against cryptanalytic attacks. It is versatile, which means it can be implemented on different working environment efficiently, its key agility is good which means setup time of key is less and this algorithm is easy to be understood and using it. Rijndael requires less memory and hence make it is well suited for environments which have less space such as 8 bit micro-processor, also it shows marvellous performance in terms of software and hardware implementation. © Springer International Publishing Switzerland 2016.

The present work describes a validated reverse phase high performance liquid chromatographic method for simultaneous estimation of Rabeprazole and Ondansetron in pharmaceutical dosage form. Chromatography was performed on a ODS Hypersil C18 (250 mm x 4.6 mm i.d., 5 μm particle size) column with mobile phase containing Buffer (Ammonium Acetate, pH-5.5): Water: Methanol (25: 15: 60 v/v/v). The flow rate was 1.0 ml/min and the eluent was monitored at 275 nm. The selected chromatographic conditions were found to effectively separate Rabeprazole (RT- 5.941 min) and Ondansetron (RT- 3.541 min). Linearity for Rabeprazole and Ondansetron were found in the range of 1-20 μg/ml. The values obtained of LODs were 0.093 and 0.16 μg/ml, LOQs were 0.28 and 0.49 μg/ml for Rabeprazole and Ondansetron, respectively. The proposed method was found to be fast, accurate, precise, reproducible and rugged and can be used for simultaneous analysis of Rabeprazole and Ondansetron in combined pharmaceutical formulations.

The Internet of Things (IoT) is the next generation technology which is expected to bring a major revolution in the art of creating smarter environments. In order to uniquely identify each device in smart environment, a new protocol using IPv6 over Low-power Wireless Personal Area Network (6LoWPAN) has been developed which supports management of sleep cycles of device for power management. However issues in a LoWPAN networks include bountiful utilization of bandwidth due to over dissemination of packets during Neighbor Discovery (ND) and headers with larger size lead to prodigal power consumption leading to short network life. This paper is a survey on state-of-art of ND techniques like ND++, Context Aware Resource Discovery (CARD) & HC techniques like Generic Header Compression, compressed DTLS in 6LoWPAN. The outcomes of the survey show that there is a prospect of optimization in ND and HC, with a clear aim to enhance the efficiency of 6LoWPAN for the low power and low processing capabilities of IoT devices. © 2016 IEEE.

The present work describes a First order Derivative Spectrophotometric method for simultaneous estimation of Ondansetron Hydrochloride and Rabeprazole Sodium in Capsule formulation. Method was performed on Elico's Double beam UV-Visible Spectrophotometer (SL-191) using methanol as a solvent. Absorbences were recorded at Zero Crossing Point (ZCP) of Ondansetron Hydrochloride (301.5 nm) and ZCP of Rabeprazole Sodium (284 nm) for all the solutions. The selected Spectrophotometric conditions were found to be effectively determined Ondansetron Hydrochloride and Rabeprazole Sodium without prior physical separation. Linearity was found over the range of 2-16 μg/ml for Ondansetron Hydrochloride and over 4-25 μg/ml for Rabeprazole Sodium. The values of Limit of Detection were found to be 0.39 μg/ml for Ondansetron Hydrochloride and 0.777 μg/ml for Rabeprazole Sodium. The values of Limit of Quantification were found to be 1.18 μg/ml for Ondansetron Hydrochloride and 2.35 μg/ml for Rabeprazole Sodium. The proposed method was found to be fast, accurate, precise, reproducible and rugged and can be used for simultaneous analysis of these drugs in combined capsule formulations.
