A new crypting species, Hyponephele antihilaris sp.n., is described from the low-mountainous part of Gissarsky Mts. in Tajikistan (type locality Tajikistan, Gissarsky Mts. near Obigarm settlement, 1408 m, N 38°43.257', E 69°41.013′). The new species belongs to the high-mountainous H. hilaris (Staudinger, 1886) group but differs from H. hilaris by its lowaltitudinal distribution, small wing pattern features, the forewing shape and COI sequence. © Russian Entomological Journal, 2017.

A new species, Trypogeus guangxiensis Miroshnikov et Liu, sp.n., is described from the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, China. Thus, the fauna of that country currently contains 4 species of the genus Trypogeus Lacordaire, 1869. All four species of the genus Anaglyptus Mulsant, 1839 currently known from Vietnam are discussed. Two of them, namely, A. kabakovi sp.n. and A. trocolii sp.n., are described as new. A new species, Mimosebasmiafedoren- koi sp.n., is described from Vietnam. Its differences not only from M.purpurea Pic, 1946, but also from members of the genus Gibbocerambyx Pic, 1923 are listed. The structural features ofM. fedorenkoi sp.n. notably extend the diagnosis of the genus Mimosebasmia Pic, 1946 and increase the morphological similarity of the latter to the genus Gibbocerambyx. Three new species of the genera Pachypidonia Gressitt, 1935 and Katarinia Holzschuh, 1991 from China are described: P. tavakiliani sp.n. (Yunnan Province), K. murzini sp.n. (Shaanxi Province) and K. belousovi sp.n. (Yunnan Province). In the present work some nomenclatorial, taxonomic and zoogeographic errors, which were made in recently published revisions of the genus Colias Fabricius, 1807, are examined and corrected. The following nomenclatorial acts are applied: C. alta worthyi Zhdanko, 2012, stat.n., C. phicomone oberthueri Verity, 1909, stat.rest., C. palaeno aias Fruhstorfer, 1903, stat.rev., C. alpherakii roschana Grum-Grshimailo, 1893, stat.rest., C. hyperborea hyperborea Grum-Grshimailo, 1899 = C. hyperborea puella Churkin et Grieshuber, 2001, syn.n., C. regia svetlanae Korb et Yakovlev, 1998, stat. rest. © RUSSIAN ENTOMOLOGICAL JOURNAL, 2015.


The review contains a characteristic (with diagnosis) of the genus Anicetus Howard, 1896, a key to the females of the 12 species known from the New World, the Hawaiian Islands, and Australia, and a synopsis of the species with data on their distribution, hosts, biology, ecesis, and use in biological control of injurious coccids. Two new species are described from Mexico: Anicetus myartsevae sp. n. and A. villarreali sp. n. Anicetus carolinensis J. Meyer, 2001 from the USA is excluded from the genus and transferred to Homosemion Annecke, 1967. A new combination is established: Anicetus argentinus (Fidalgo, 1979), comb. n. from Paraceraptrocerus Girault, 1920, which is a synonym of Anicetus. The paper is based on the author's work in the insect depositories of the USA (Washington, San Francisco, and Riverside), Mexico (Ciudad Victoria), and Russia (St. Petersburg). Anicetus myartsevae sp. n. is compared with the Mexican A. primus (Howard, 1898), from which it differs in the antennal scape half as long dorsally as at base (as long as that in A. primus), the legs more or less extensively dark (mainly yellow in A. primus), and the face with a dark transverse stripe (without stripe in A. primus). Anicetus villarrieli sp. n. is a short-winged species. © 2010 Pleiades Publishing, Ltd.


The publication contains many-sided characteristics of the genus Psyllaephagus and a description of P. vereshchagini sp. n. from Moscow Province, Russia. The new species is not related to species of this genus known from the forest zone of the European part of Russia, but is similar to P. nartshukae Trjapitzin, 1986 from Kirghizia. The female of P. vereshchagini differs from that of P. nartshukae in the uniform sculpture of the mesoscutum and scutellum; the marginal vein of the forewing of P. vereshchagini is nearly punctiform, while in P. nartshukae, it is twice as long as wide. The importance of two Australian species of Psyllaephagus for biological control of Psylloidea on eucalypti is emphasized. © 2012 Pleiades Publishing, Ltd.
