It is divided into different sub areas, whereas the area concerning this paper is Gene prediction. Gene sequence has been divided into exons and introns. Gene detections means to find the coding sequence which is exons. Objective: The present study was carried out to investigate the hypoglycemic effects of the petroleum ether extract of Sesbania sesban (SS)(Merr.) roots, which are widely used in inflammation, fever, ulcers, leucoderma and diabetes in various parts of India. Methods: SS was administered orally at different doses (250, 500 and 1000mg/kg) to normal and streptozotocin (STZ) induced type-2 diabetic mice. The fasting blood glucose (FBG), biochemical parameters in serum, change in body weight, internal organs weight, food intake, water intake and glycogen level in livers were performed for the evaluation of hypoglycemic effects. Results: All the doses of SS caused a marked decrease of FBG in STZ induced type -2 diabetic mice. SS decreased the cholesterol, triglyceride (TG), urea, creatinine level and increased the insulin, HDL cholesterol, and total protein level. Decrease in body weight and glycogen level induced by STZ was restored. Increase in water and food intake induced by STZ was decreased. Conclusions: The results suggest that SS may have hypoglycemic potential for the type 2-diabetes and support the traditional use of the roots of plant as a hypoglycemic agent. © 2012 Asian Pacific Tropical Biomedical Magazine.

Routing in a network may involve a complex collection of functions that work more or less independently and yet support each other by exchanging services or information. The complexity arises due to maintaining coordination between all the nodes of the subnet, coping with link and node failures. Complexity of centralized routing control strategies may be reduced by partitioning a network into smaller subnetworks or clusters such that the routing functionality leads to efficient network performance. Hence, each cluster is having one network routing control center. Existing hierarchical and partitional clusters are based upon creating groups consisting of elements that are close to each other w.r.t. the distance or parameters considered in the application. But these algorithms are not adequate and appropriate. For designing and selecting an appropriate routing strategy for a network, a number of factors that influence the behavior of the strategy have to be considered such as traffic patterns, volumes, service requirements, feasibility and optimality of routes with respect to resource utilization etc. This paper presents an optimal approach for clustering a large network by first choosing appropriate nodes that can act as a Network Routing Control Centers. © 2010 IEEE.

Wire electric discharge machining (WEDM) is a nonconventional machining method to cut hard and conductive material with the help of a moving electrode. High-strength low-alloy steel (HSLA) is a hard alloy with high hardness and wear-resisting property. The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of parameters on cutting speed and dimensional deviation for WEDM using HSLA as workpiece. It is seen that the most prominent factor for cutting speed and dimensional deviation is pulse-on time, while two-factor interactions play an important role in this analysis. Response surface methodology was used to optimize the process parameter for cutting speed and dimensional deviation. The central composite rotatable design was used to conduct the experiments. The analysis of variance was used for the investigation of significant factors. © Springer-Verlag London 2012.

Gene identification is a critical and challenging problem in bioinformatics. The task of gene prediction is to find sub-sequences of bases that encode proteins. The protein coding regions of DNA sequences have period-3 behaviour. This period-3 property can be used for locating the exons. The field of signal processing is deal with numerical sequences. Therefore gene sequence is map into indicator sequence (Binary indicator sequence, complex indicator sequence and grouped indicator sequence) for gene prediction. In this paper grouped indicator sequence is considered. Digital signal processing provides a useful tool for gene prediction. © 2013 Inderscience Enterprises Ltd.

Wire electric discharge machine (WEDM) is a spark erosion non conventional machining method to cut hard and conductive material with the help of a wire electrode. High strength low alloy steel (HSLA) is a hard alloy with high hardness and wear resisting property. The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of parameters on metal removal rate for WEDM using HSLA as work-piece and brass wire as electrode. HSLA used in cars, trucks, cranes, bridges, roller coasters and other structures that are designed to handle large amounts of stress. It is observed that metal removal rate and surface roughness increases with increase in pulse on time and peak current. Metal removal rate and surface roughness decreases with increase in pulse off time and servo voltage. Wire mechanical tension has no significant effect on metal removal rate and surface roughness. Response Surface methodology (RSM) is used to optimize the process parameter for metal removal rate and surface roughness. Response Surface Methodology is formulating a mathematical model which correlates the independent process parameters with the desired metal removal rate and surface roughness. Wire electric discharge machine (WEDM) is a spark erosion machining process to cut very hard conductive material with the help of a wire electrode. High strength low alloy steel (HSLA) is a hard alloy with high hardness and wear resisting property. The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of parameters on kerf width for WEDM using HSLA as workpiece. HSLA is used in cars, trucks, cranes, bridges, roller coasters and other structures that are designed to handle large amounts of stress. It is revealed that kerf width decreases with increase in pulse on time, pulse off time, spark gap voltage and peak current. Kerf width increases with increase in wire tension. In order to evaluate the effect of selected process parameters, the response surface methodology (RSM) is used to formulate a mathematical model which correlates the independent process parameters with the desired kerf width. The central composite rotatable design has been used to conduct the experiments. The analysis of results indicates that the spark gap voltage, pulse on time, peak current and pulse off time have a significant effect on kerf width.

Wire Electric Discharge machine is non-conventional thermo-electric spark erosion machining process to cut conductive metal and alloys. The main mechanism of machining is spark erosion between the tool and work-piece. High carbon high chromium tool steel (D-2) is a hard alloy with high hardness and wear resisting property. The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of process parameters on the machining of D-2 tool steel. D-2 tool steel used in tool and die industries. Response Surface Methodology (RSM) is used to formulate a mathematical model which correlates the independent process parameters with the desired dimensional deviation. The central composite rotatable design has been used to conduct the experiments. Wire electric discharge machine (WEDM) is a thermo-electric spark erosion machining process to cut very hard conductive material with the help of a wire electrode. Cryogenic treated high carbon high chromium tool steel (D-2 tool steel) is used for the current investigation. Cryogenic treatment is a surface process in which the material is placed in nitrogen environment (below -190 C) to remove stress and enhance wear resistance. The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of parameters on surface roughness for WEDM. D-2 tool steel is used in die and punch industries, where wear takes place due to frequent operation of die-punch. To increase the wear resistance the cryogenic treated work-piece is used for the research. The Mathematical modelling of the process is carried with the help of Response surface methodology (RSM). The central composite rotatable design (CCRD) has been used to planning the experiments. The input process parameters are pulse on time, pulse off time, servo voltage and peak current. Out of which Pulse on-time has maximum effect on surface roughness as compared to other process parameters. Genetic algorithm is used to predict the best individual parameters along with the predicted fitness values. © 2014 Published by Elsevier Ltd.
