The results of research into the viscoelastic properties and processes of mechanical relaxation of polyvinylchloride (PVC) containing Cu nanoparticles obtained by means of electroerosion crushing and electrohydraulic destruction of agglomerates of disperse Cu in the presence of an ultrasonic field are presented. It is shown that, in the case of longitudinal shear deformation at a frequency of 0.4 × 106 s–1 over a wide range of temperatures and content of ingredients, viscoelastic phenomena depending on structural changes in the PVC system occur. An analysis of quantitative results of the elastic and viscoelastic deformation of a body is carried out taking into account the energy and entropy components of interaction of the polymer and filler at their interface. © 2017 Springer Science+Business Media New York

Partial solutions of motion equations for anisotropic elastic solids in the form of self-reinforcing deforming disturbances localized in some small area are considered. Trajectories of corresponding waves motion in the field of variable density are investigated. The paper has developed the method for solving nonlinear model problems of complex quasipotential theory for nonlinear doubly-layered curvilinear domains under conditions of parameters identification (conductivity coefficient, characteristic values of the potential on the equipotential lines of layers section and rate of flows through border sections bounded with flow lines that separated layers). The developed method is based on the synthesis of numerical methods of quasiconformal mappings and summary representations in conjunction with domain decomposition method by Schwartz. © 2014 by Begell House Inc.

Methods for identification of trajectories of solitary waves by results of discrete observations in medium, where several waves exist simultaneously, are proposed. The method consists of separate stages of analysis of velocities, determination of interrelation of data and analysis of their trajectories. On construction of predicted trajectories the problem is reduced to verification of consistency of systems of moment relations, equivalent to problem of the Markov moments. © 2015 by Begell House Inc.

The effect of the moisture content in amorphous polymers (PS, PVC, PMMA) on their electro-physical properties is considered. Analytical relationships describing the inflence of the external-field frequency and environmental relative humidity on the conductivity of the polymers are given. The electric explosion of a conductor being part of an electric cable is studied. It is ascertained that the electric properties of a polymeric dielectric depend nonlinearly on the maintenance of the ultradisperse metal filler. The electrophysical characteristics of the electric cable's transition into a state of a heterogenic polymer system due to a wire's explosion were examined. Using cyclic heating-cooling of the composite, the changes in its topology were observed. Within the framework of a model of a heterogeneous system obtained by wire explosion in polyvinyl chloride, analytical relations of the electrophysical parameters of the boundary layer arising at the "polymer-nanodispersed copper particle" phase boundary are presented. Comparisons of calculated values of the electrophysical properties of systems with experimental data obtained in an investigation of their frequency and concentration dependences are given. © 2013 Smithers Rapra Technology.
