The authors propose to use the algorithm for creating a geospatial database as an effective tool to support decision-making at management of oil and gas sector taking into account such characteristics of gas companies as a large piping length and territorial spreading of objects. Processing spatial information is impossible without a mathematical and analytical modeling technological processes, implementation of analytical procedures as well as implementation of special algorithms for generating databases. This article discusses the conceptual issues of GIS projects for effective management of the gas distribution network. The authors offer an algorithm for creating geospatial databases on the gas industry enterprises. A particular attention is devoted to information support as well as compiling engineering documentation needed for implementation of effective tools for territorial dependent management. The research identifies the main parameters of verifying the completeness and accuracy of information at input of spatial and attribute data. © 2016 IEEE.

The purpose of the article is to investigate the problem of recognition of plant objects using research methods of graph theory and analytic geometry. The process of plant object recognition may be based on the analysis of their general structure. In this paper, we propose an approach based on the construction of models of plant object structure in the form of graphs. It is proposed to consider the method of determining the shadow contour using such analytic geometry approach as the envelope theory. This approach allows constructing a mathematical theory of recognition. You can get a clear mathematical description of an object, such as its geometry, but there is a problem of its correlation with the received image. Therefore, it is possible to carry out detection of the plant object not in general, but by characteristic elements of the plant peculiar only to this specific plant. © 2016 IEEE.

It is annually produced 400 thousand tons of solid waste in the city of Rostov-on-Don, which is taken for disposal to landfill at the Northwest industrial area of the city. Nearly 60 tons of waste enters Rostov Material Recovery Facility every year for the sorting, extracting commercially attractive factions, pressing, briquetting and subsequent transportation of "residue tail" to the landfill. However, the percentage of recycling in Rostov (10%) remains low, as a result of the shortcomings of the system. Recently, the Administration of Rostov-on-Don has produced a development strategy of integrated municipal solid waste management to create a new system of waste management in Rostov-on-Don. The strategy focuses mainly at Resource efficiency, which is a blend of good infrastructure, collection and design, with a dash of innovation and a strong policy framework to back it up. For the successful implementation of the strategy it is necessary to introduce an integrated system of municipal solid waste management using GIS. The methodology of integrated system with using GIS was developed by specialists of City Planning and Community Development Department of the Rostov State University of Civil Engineering. It includes implementation of collection and storage of waste and environmental data along with vehicle's navigation system through ArcGIS ESRI software. It helps to facilitate collection operations, to analyze optimal locations for transfer stations, to plan routes for vehicles transporting waste from residential, commercial and industrial customers to transfer stations and from transfer stations to landfills, to calculate amount of waste collection sites in accordance with the population density and volume of bins, to locate new landfills and to monitor the landfill. GIS is a tool that also provides a digital data bank for optimization of waste collection sites allocation according with implementation of General City Plan. The territory of Rostov-on-Don has been chosen for case study. GIS allowed to make situational (operational) decisions for implementing the strategic approach to the municipal solid waste management plan of the city and supported innovative accompaniment of the process of development and implementation of priority national projects, targeted programs of ecological reconstruction and strategic plans of socio-economic development of municipalities. © (2014) Trans Tech Publicutions, Switzerland.

The article considers the features of fortification in medieval settlements of western Alania by the example of large sites. Besides, the article describes the main types of defences. The conducted analysis ascertained three types of fortified settlements with common architectural and spatial regularities which probably show the world-view guidelines of patronymic society in medieval Alania during the period of intensive urban construction. © 2015, European Journal of Science and Theology. Byzantinesque in architecture, as a rule, is strongly associated with temple architecture monuments. In fact, most buildings of that style are temples, as well as medieval monuments, the study of which became the basis for Byzantine historicism. Nevertheless, secular byzantism, together with the temple byzantism, is a significant and valuable page of architecture’s history of a number of European countries. The monuments studied in this article allow drawing a conclusion on the specifics of prerequisites and results of applying to Byzantium’s heritage in the civil architecture of Western and Eastern Europe. © 2016, Ecozone, OAIMDD. An integral and unprofitable part of high tech complexes for liquefaction, allocation and taking over liquefied natural gas (LNG) is a large, above ground cryogenic reservoir (CR). It is a composite engineering structure for storing great volumes of fire and explosion hazardous products at low temperatures (-161° C). Construction of such reservoirs demands a huge starting investment, which can make up to 50% of total capital expenditure. © 2016 Published by Elsevier Ltd.

The paper proposes a new approach to the bond condition evaluation of flexible pavement structural courses using a nondestructive testing method. It provides numerical modeling results of the effect of the bond loss between flexible pavement components on the form of acceleration frequency-response characteristics on the pavement surface under impulse loading. It has been determined that providing a full bond between all components of the flexible pavement structure, there is one distinct frequency peak magnitude on the acceleration frequency-response characteristics. With the interlayer bond loss between the asphalt concrete layers and the pavement base course on the acceleration frequency- response characteristics of the flexible pavement surface, recorded at 0.75-1.25 m from the loading point there are two frequency peak magnitudes within 0-350 Hz and 350-500 Hz. With the interlayer bond loss between all components of the flexible pavement structure on the acceleration frequency-response characteristics recorded at 0.25 - 2.5 m, there is a number of frequency peak magnitudes located in the frequency domains of 0-200; 200 - 350, 350 - 500 Hz. The adequacy of the numerical modeling results is proved by good coherence between the forms of acceleration frequency-response characteristics measured with the use of the analytical model of the dynamic strain - stress condition and frequency-response characteristics recorded on the flexible pavement surface in different operation field conditions. There have been determined opportunities for the development of the proposed approach which are related to the improvement of the methods and techniques of the pavement evaluation in the frequency domain under dynamic loading. © 2016 The Authors.

Byzantine style in the architecture of Orthodox countries, in spite of a certain similarity of the causes that created an interest to the Byzantine heritage, historical, cultural and religious communities, as well as the mutual influence, within each national tradition has found specific features, in varying degrees obeying the changing stages of evolution of architecture from eclecticism to functionalism and the effects of centuries of experience of one or other national school of architecture. The ideological basis for the formation of regional-ethnic peculiarities of church architecture is presented by different variants of religious contaminations of worldviews of North Caucasus nations. The reasons of religious contaminations were the following: remoteness from Christian centres, activity of missionaries of different confessions, maintenance of generic structures, complex political situation, and processes of ethnogenesis. The consequences of religious contaminations were the appearance of regional variants of ‘folk’ Christianity, complicated by pagan ritualism, which were reflected in the peculiarities of church architecture: landscape location, spatial organization, external architectural forms, constructions, decor plastic. © 2014, Ecozone, OAIMDD.
