In performing the evidence search, auditors carry out sufficient appropriate work to be reasonably certain that audit conclusions are soundly based and at a reasonable cost. At the outset auditors decide what approach they will use and when it is likely to be appropriate to use audit sampling, taking into account the criteria of sufficiency, relevance and reliability.

Businesses generally hold a certain amount of inventory for which there are strict policies to keep track of. Sometimes mistakes are made or records are kept wrong and these have to be fixed. If the government believes that there are errors they may decide to have an audit done for tax purposes, but businesses also have them done for their own purposes. Whatever the reason, the auditors have very strict procedures to follow.

Despite ongoing efforts, to promote its current share of the intermodal transport is low, as its supply and quality. This should be considered in the context of business internationalization and extreme congestion of freight transport market in general, characterized by low costs. In a tumultous business environment, congestion on the roads network and access to intermodal hubs is a critical issue, especially in urban areas and critical natural geographic barriers. Many highways have experienced long delays, especially in and near urban centers. Ports, airports and railway terminals are especially prone to congestion in peak times. In hand, as the current state of dissatisfaction and use of intermodal transport is caused by a legacy of poor infrastructure, low levels of interoperability, control fragmentation operational separation of operational control responsibilities, and institutional arrangements that are unclear, due to their transitional nature. In this global business climate is vital that transports should become faster, more reliable, more in connection with global players.

Thalassemias are inherited blood disorders. In 2011, there was no clear situation regarding the number of thalassemia or other hemoglobinopathy patients in Romania. The luck of information has led to an increased number of patients registered by Fundeni Hospital, Bucharest in the last years. The main goal of this article is to underline the importance of implementing a screening program in Romania for thalassemia and other hemoglobinopathies, parallel with an awareness program. The importance of this objective is strongly supported by the following example: in Sardinia, thalassemia major was present in one out of 250 births, and has declined to one out of 4000 births after they implemented the screening program. The article is written by Monica Rosu, a participant to the World Wide Opportunities for Woman course, held in Canada, in 1999 and states one of the first results of thalassemia awareness in Romania with a positive impact on the patient's life, registering the following results: 2000: A website in Romanian language regarding thalassemias and addressed to patients was created. 2005: The Association of People with thalassemia major was founded and become member of Thalassemia International Federation. 2011: Thalassemia major patients from Romania have access to free treatment and the latest medical oral chelator, Exjade. The association participated in various meetings addressed to patients and doctors as well, created their own website, held workshops, fought together for an improved quality of life for themselves, for healthy people (possible thalassemia carriers) and for all Romanian children.

The pollution prevention activity as well as the past damages reconstruction are worth taking into consideration problems at income and expenses budgets assembly of the next stage agricultural exploitation. At the same time one must retain the importance which environmental protection in agriculture has, of agricultural ecosystem, at macroeconomic level. The increase of the economic pressure over fanners, increase of the competitivity and the change of the production and management practices, desertions of lands are signals that have to be changed. The agricultural technology must be oriented to a new stage at conceptual level in which the levers, biologic, natural, based on redeemable cycles, must prevail. Durable agriculture implies active participation of the farmers at environmental protection. The objectives and priorities of an economic efficiency increase strategy, representing a fundamental objective of economic analysis.

According to the Europe 2020 Strategy, achieving sustainable growth is directly correlated with three main targets, namely a reduction of greenhouse gas emissions (GHGs) by a minimum of 20% compared with 1990, an increase in the share of renewables in the energy mix to 20%, as well as an increase in energy efficiency by 20%. This transition to a low-carbon and resource efficient economy is expected to bring some structural changes for European labour market. The aim of this paper is to present the employment impact of this transition process on EU's Member States, and more particularly on Romanian labour market, highlighting also some transformations regarding the set of skills needed, correlated with the speed and depth of economy's greening process. Sustainable development has been established on an EU level as a strategy and some high-level political promises. In the present economic context, it is vital that a holistic approach to the green growth paradigm must be adopted. Nevertheless, the EU's energy, resource and environmental policies as well as development policy must be coordinated so as to ensure maximum possible coherence. The purpose of this paper is to briefly present the importance of sustainable development implementation and also to evaluate the EU real capabilities in supporting this agenda. Introductory part is giving an overview on this topic while trends of sustainable developments are presented in the EU framework furthermore. Copyright © 2016 Inderscience Enterprises Ltd.

In theory, green energy uses resources that already exist in wildlife, which do not require extraction or storage anywhere. These energies are also considered renewable because no matter how intensively they are exploited, they will probably never run out. During the last decade, energy policy and indirectly energy security have been among the European Union's priorities. Until 2013, the official reports considered Romania's chance of being a performer in the region to be a tangible objective. This paper will try to review and evaluate how green is the EU economy nowadays, and in particular, Romania's place on the EU green map. Copyright © 2016 Inderscience Enterprises Ltd.

Nowadays, the universities realize that research area is the most important asset for future development. In this context, the European Union and all the EU member states are committed to develop a common European Research Area. In this lecture I present an informatics system in order to improve the management of the research activity in universities. This system is based on database driven dynamic Web technologies and it provides: repository for collecting all the internal research results such as papers, books, contracts, patents, products etc. at each individual level, group level (research centers, faculties, university etc.) in order to coordinate the assessment process; research dissemination and technology transfer in order to distribute and make available its patrimony of skills and resources in an accessible form that can be exploited by interested organizations; integration between the university research systems and national or EU institutional systems, in order to simplify and to increase the research development and administration; management of all projects underway within a standard process which identifies various common operative phases, regardless of the nature of the financing body. In this way, the realized system can be integrated easily into the national/European research e-platform.

In this paper, we present a model for rapid web application development. This model is based on the Model-View-Controller architecture (MVC) and has several other useful components like security, form generation and validation, database access and routing. This model was implemented using the PHP programming language, but it can be implemented in other development languages and environments using the same concepts. Improvements in both development and maintenance time have been the main objectives of this research, with the added benefit of correct and maintainable code. © 2014 The Authors.
