An electrical bus assembly includes a frame and a plurality of bus bar carriers connected to the frame. The bus bars are supported by the bus bar carriers in parallel spaced-apart relation. A first retainer cap is secured to a first one of the plurality of bus bar carriers located adjacent a first end of the frame. A second retainer cap is secured to a second one of the plurality of bus bar carriers located adjacent a second end of the frame. The first and second retainer caps limit axial movement of the bus bars relative to the plurality of carriers sufficiently to prevent escape of the bus bars from the carriers. A bus bar connector is also disclosed for supplying power to or from the bus bars. An electrical bus system includes a first and second bus bar assemblies and a jumper connector assembly.


A system includes a heat sink, a semiconductor device, a layer of thermal interface material (TIM) disposed between the heat sink and the semiconductor device, and a fastener system that couples the semiconductor device, the layer of TIM, and the heat sink together. The TIM may facilitate dissipation of heat generated by the semiconductor device via the heat sink during operation of the semiconductor device. The fastener system includes a first Belleville-type washer configured to cooperate with the TIM, which flows when heated beyond a threshold temperature, to maintain a substantially constant coupling force between the semiconductor device and the heat sink during operation of the semiconductor device.

Electrostatic charge grounding is achieved by connecting an outer surface touchscreen conductive coating to a grounded conductor in a graphics terminal using an electrostatic charge routing system that provides a path for electrons that accumulate on the conductive coating to pass through one or more non-conductive elements in the graphics terminal. The grounded conductor can be a bezel made of metal or another conductor, a conductive paint layer applied to a bezel or other graphics terminal element, a metal spline pin or a metal screw. The electron path defined by the electrostatic charge routing system can include conductive and dissipative elements such as metal spline pins, metal screws, conductive epoxy, conducting plastic elements providing a short, closed electron bridge.

A light curtain system is configured to perform dynamic partial muting of the light curtains beams to accommodate products of different heights. When a product enters the light curtains protective field during muting mode, the system identifies the highest interrupted light beam, which is indicative of the products height. The system then sets the muting height for the light curtain based on this highest interrupted beam. Beams higher than the set muting height are un-muted, while beams up to the set muting height remain muted. Both regions are actively monitored during the partial muting mode to confirm the expected non-interrupted, respectively interrupted conditions. When the product clears the light curtain, the muting height is reset, and a new muting height is set in a similar fashion when the next part enters the light curtains protective field.

An improved system for controlling operation of a motor with a motor drive is disclosed. The motor drive includes a control module having an inner control loop operable to generate a torque reference signal and a load observer operable to generate an estimate of the torque present on the motor. The torque estimate is summed with the torque reference signal to generate a modified torque reference. The bandwidth of the load observer is set wide enough to generate the estimated torque over a desired operating range of the motor. The control module may also include a low pass filter and at least one tracking notch filter. The low pass filter suppresses vibrations at high frequencies, and the tracking notch filter suppresses resonances present at frequencies above the bandwidth of the load observer and within the pass band of the low pass flter.

Augmentable and manipulable modeling of equipment provides a three dimensional, manipulable base model image of an equipment specimen on a display system using optical base model data obtained using a computing system. Base model data collection can be user-controlled to permit changing spatial aspects of the base model image (size, perspective, orientation). User inputs concerning functions, conditions and the like can be transmitted from a model control unit to the computing system via a two-way communication link, generating augmenting data that is combined with the base model data to render augmented three dimensional models. User inputs also can be received directly by the computing system, for example using a display system touchscreen. Augmenting data received by the computing system and/or display system also can be transmitted via the communication link to the model control unit. Such implementations permit realistic simulation of the effects of a control system on a real world system, equipment, etc.

System, apparatus and methods are provided for identifying a phase loss condition in a motor drive. In one example, a power conversion system includes an active rectifier, a switching inverter, and a controller. The controller is operative to generate rectifier switching control signals to operate the rectifier, measure AC input voltage signals and determine grid current signals. If the rectifier circuit is not in a switching mode, the controller identifies a suspected AC input phase loss condition if two of the AC input voltage signals are in phase with one another. If the rectifier is in the switching mode, the controller identifies a suspected AC input phase loss condition if the absolute value of the sum of two of the grid current signals is less than a predetermined non-zero threshold.
