In 2014, at RSFG Iaşi researches we carried out in terms of control of main pathogen agents encountered in the apple species. The experiment took place in an apple plantation on 'Idared', 'Golden Delicious' and 'Starkrimson' cultivars. In the experiments we followed the control of scab (Venturia inaequalis) and powdery mildew (Podosphaera leucotricha) by the use of the newest and most efficient products for plant protection. The treatment diagram applied had a better efficiency in the control and the complex of pathogens, with a percentage of affected fruits between 9.3 and 12.0% for the scab and 3.0 and 8.1% shoots affected by powdery mildew.

The aim of this paper work is the rating of the pollen's quality, the study of the fertility indexes and the behaviour of the cultivars in the process of controlled pollination for some of the cultivars obtained at RSFG Iasi, for establishing the compatible groups on this criteria. The researches were made in 2011 and 2012 at RSFG Iasi, with 9 cherry cultivars as study material ('Ludovic', 'Cociu', 'Margo', 'Alex', 'Anda', 'Iosif', 'Andrei', 'Mihai' and 'Paul'). Following the data analysis concerning the cultivars behaviour in the pollination process, there are recommended the interfertile groups presented in table 3. To obtain good productions each year, it is necessary to provide optimal conditions for interpollination for the cultivars by their correct allocation in orchard, planting a row with pollinator cherry at 2 or 4 rows of cherry trees for pollination (the report of 2:1 or 4:1).

In the period 2011-2013, at RSFG Iasi we carried out researches regarding the control of the main pathogen agents and pests in the cherry species. The experiment took place in a cherry plantation with the varieties 'Van', 'Stela' and 'Boambe de Cotnari'. The experiments aimed at controlling anthracnose, moniliosis, the San Jose scale and the cherry fruit fly by using plant protection products such as: Signum 0.03%, Copernico 0.2%, Funguran 0.2% Decis 25 WG 0.003%, Calypso 0.02%, Rovral 0.075%, Novadim 0.13%, Decis Mega 0.0125%.

'Boambe de Cotnari' is the most appreciated and the most widespread sweet cherry cultivar of the North - Eastern area of Romania. Therefore, in the breeding sweet cherry programs from Romania is often used as maternal or paternal genitor. As a result of improvement works from the period 1982-2000, were obtained 24 new sweet cherry cultivars at Fruit Growing Research Station Iasi, Romania. This paper analyzed 12 sweet cherry cultivars ('Cetǎţuia', 'Ancuţa', 'Golia', 'Cǎtǎlina', 'Bucium', 'Iaşirom', 'Stefan', 'Sârca', 'Radu', 'Cociu', 'Ludovic' and 'Andrei'), which are all descended from 'Boambe de Cotnari'.
