Introduction of copper(II), zinc(II), and manganese(II) ions into aqueous solutions of acrylamide-sodium acrylate copolymer leads to phase separation. The position of the boundary between the liquid phase and the precipitate is determined by the copolymer composition, its concentration in solution, and nature and concentration of the ion being introduced. © 2015 Pleiades Publishing, Ltd. Sorption purifi cation of liquid radioactive waste from special laundries of nuclear power plants to remove surfactants was simulated. The adsorption of an anionic surfactant, sodium dodecyl sulfate, on various carbon sorbents from complex-composition aqueous solutions containing mineral salts and complexing additives was studied. © 2012 Pleiades Publishing, Ltd. The possibility of recording holographic images in a photosensitive material based on methyl methacrylate-acrylic acid copolymer, which is more heat-resistant than poly(methyl methacrylate) used as a base for optical recording media, was examined. Introduction of acrylic acid units into poly(methyl methacrylate) macromolecule does not prevent recording and reconstruction of holographic images, but, at the same time, affects the dynamics of variation of the diffraction efficiency of diffraction lattices recorded in this polymer. © Pleiades Publishing, Ltd., 2013.
