There is no effective method to detect the gas from volcanic rock reservoir in Xushen gas field. Because of using single mode wave during inversion in traditional P-wave inversion, the result has multiple solutions. Joint PP and PS inversion could well solve this problem, and the inversion result is stable and highly reliable. The 2D3C multi-phase data were acquired in a deep volcanic rock survey in Daqing, while we carried out tackling the key problems of processing, and at the same time using PP and PS inversion technique we got the elastic parameter of VP/VS. It showed good relation between the reservoir characteristic and Gamma section. The reservoir characteristics from well-log data correspond to the inversion section, as a result it proved that joint PP and PS inversion is effective in the reservoir prediction in deep volcanic.
