The density of drilling fluid at hightemperature highpressure(HTHP) is not constant and the accurate prediction thereof plays an important role in determining downhole pressure profile. A support vector machine (SVM) regression model is established to predict the static densities of different drilling fluids at HTHP. It demonstrates that, compared with other methods under the same conditions, the SVM regression model gives results of higher accuracy and generalization as to the HPHT static density of water base, oil base and synthetic base drilling fluids.
