Nanofiltration membrane has many advantages to treat effluent from amembrane bio-reactor. A study was carried out to evaluate the recovery rate of composting leachate and change of COD. The results showed that COD of MBR effluent was less than 800 mg/L~900 mg/L, COD of the nanofiltration membrane effluent was less than 100 mg/L. Recovery rate of direct run nanofiltration system was 40%~50%. Inner loop run recovery rate was 75%~80%. Concentrated segment rate was 9.3%~11.8%. The total recovery rate was 80.4%~82.0%. Accorading to the requirement of velocity along membrane surface, inflow of the membrane must be more than 8 m3/h. The membrane pressure, inflow and circulation flow were key factors to affect the membrane flux.
