Adopting the determination principle of distribution coefficient of each gas component in oil and the second balance degassing method, the volume fraction of each gas component dissolved in oil is obtained via formula conversion and inverse algorithm according to the recommended distribution coefficients of gas components in oil at 50°. Filling blank balance gas into the oil sample from first chromatogram test and conducting second test, the volume fraction of each gas component in oil is obtained again via inverse algorithm to verify the reliability of the first test data. The method has been demonstrated to be simple and workable.

The dispatch and centralized control mutual backup system based on multi-domain sharing technology is proposed. The realization of supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) function mutual backup between dispatching automation and centralized control systems by data synchronization, data security, data exchange, multi-level inter-backup, and other key technologies, is discussed. The practical application shows that the proposed system can meet the security level and emergency processing capability requirements of dispatching automation system and centralized control system. © 2010 State Grid Electric Power Research Institute Press.

The 12 kV and 40.5 kV metal enclosed switchgears have been widely used in China. This kind of equipment may affect a substation in power supply quality and reliability. However, the existing diagnosis of the switchgear insulation condition relies on the preventive test of partial discharge, which needs an outage and is hard to find insulation defects appeared in the interval between two tests. Therefore, Quzhou Electric Power Bureau introduced four detection devices with mature diagnostic technology to conduct on-site live diagnosis for the switchgears. Application of the detection devices combining with efficient management has promoted the condition-based maintenance of the switchgears.

Over-voltage is greatly threat to the safe operation of power systems. Metal oxide arrester (MOA) has good performances for lightning over-voltage, anti-pollution, light weight. Moisture in MOA detected through routine preventive tests is sensitive to evaluate the operation status to MOA, but it needs power off for detection. Live diagnostic techniques can effectively reflect its operational status, and such technique is the trend that the utilities hope the operation status can be detected without outage. The article describes several common methods of live diagnostic techniques based on experiences for MOA detections in recent years. The factors affecting the test results are analyzed and some improvements are made for testing technologies and methods. Live diagnostic data can be recorded by software automatically which greatly improve the efficiency. The results show the above method can provide more information for MOA live diagnosis.
