In this paper, main structure of 2500 tons transfer press was introduced and the effect of size error of linkage on position accuracy of slider was analyzed. Principles for determination of errors of linkage dimension were given according to the analysis results. Also, the effect of pair clearance on accuracy of the slider was analyzed by some kinematic software. It is shown that the bigger the pair clearance is, the lower accuracy of the slider position, and the press runs unsteadily. Source

A structure of permanent-electromagnet poles for clamping the workpiece and its principle were introduced. Modeling and finite element analysis were made and the clamping force of the pole was calculated. The distribution of magnetic field of the pole and the magnetic induction intensity of Nd-Fe-B magnets, Alnico magnets and other magnets after magnetization and demagnetization were simulated by FEM. The main factors affecting the magnetic field strength were analyzed and the methods or suggestions for selecting the design parameters were given. The results of magnetic adhesive force of the structure calculated by FEM are consistent with experimental data. Analysis shows that the suction cup established with the use of permanent magnet can meet the requirement of the die clamping force for the press. Source

In this paper, transmission system of 2500 tons transfer press was introduced. Six-bar linkages are used in the system. Curves of displacement, velocity, and acceleration of some six-bar linkage optimized were given. Main structure of the press is designed comprehensively considering its usage, assembly, modularization, lightening, strength, stiffness, technology, bearing offset load and so on. The main structure of the press is analyzed, checked and optimized by the ANSYS software and others. Source
