To provide a rational irrigation management for high yield cultivation of Kenaf, the effects of three irrigation levels at the three growth stages on raw fiber yield, shoot dry mass and water use efficiency of two Kenaf varieties were investigated, and crop water production function was simulated by the Jensen's model. Two Kenaf varieties (V) included hybrid variety (Hongyou 2, V1) and conventional variety (Fuhong 992, V2). Three irrigation levels at different growth stages included (1) high water level (A1), middle water level (A2) and low water level (A3) at the seedling stage, (2) high water level (B1), middle water level (B2) and low water level (B3) at the vigorous growth stage, and (3) high water level (C1), middle water level (C2) and low water level (C3) at the flowering and fruiting stage. Orthogonal test with replicates, unequal level and the existence of interaction was designed. Orthogonal test indicates that significant effects of variety and irrigation level at the vigorous growth and flowering and fruiting stages on raw fiber yield were found, and the raw fiber yield of Hongyou 2 was significantly higher than that of Fuhong 992. The best combination of two varieties and three irrigation levels at the three growth stages was V1A2B1C1 for raw fiber yield and shoot dry mass and V1A3B1C3 for water use efficiency on the basis of dry raw fiber yield (WUErf). Simulation results of the Jensen's model show that the sensitivity coefficient (λ2) was the highest at the vigorous growth stage, and significantly higher than those of other growth stages, showing that Kenaf was the most sensitive to water deficit at the vigorous growth stage, and the vigorous growth stage was the critical stage of water requirement for Kenaf. For Hongyou 2 and Fuhong 992, raw fiber yield was improved with the increase of irrigation amount at the vigorous growth stage and flowering and fruiting stage, and the simulation of the Jensen's model also proved that Kenaf was very sensitive to water deficit at the vigorous growth stage, so Kenaf should be supplied by adequate irrigation at the vigorous growth stage. The raw fiber yield of two varieties had the highest at A2B1C1, but Honyou 2 had more raw fiber yield. As the response of Fuhong 992 to irrigation level at different growth stages was not more significant than that of Hongyou 2, Hongyou 2 should be planted under better water and fertilizer condition. © 2016 Elsevier B.V.

Ethnopharmacological relevance: Sipunculus nudus has long been employed as traditional Chinese medicine in folk remedies for the treatment of carbuncles, tuberculosis and nocturia, regulating the functions of stomach and spleen, as well as for the restoration to health in debilities caused by various pathogens and aging. Decoction of Sipunculus nudus has traditionally been used to remedy sternalgia in folk medicine. Aim of the study: This study aimed to assess the anti-inflammatory and anti-nociceptive activity of the water extract from Sipunculus nudus. Materials and methods: The water extract from the body wall of Sipunculus nudus was obtained with the yield of 14.1%. The anti-inflammatory effect in six animal models and anti-nociceptive effect in two animal models of the water extract were evaluated by oral for the study. Results: Pretreatment with the extract (at the dose of 50, 100 and 200 mg/kg) produced significant dose-dependent anti-inflammatory and anti-nociceptive effects. At 200 mg/kg dose, the inhibition ratio of the extract on carrageenan-induced rat hind paw oedema, dextran-induced rat paw oedema, cotton pellet granuloma in rats, carrageenan-induced peritonitis and acetic acid-induced vascular permeability were 59.2%, 51.0%, 53.1%, 42.5%, 50.8%, better than that of indomethacin (5 mg/kg) 49.5%, 50%, 44.4%, 37.6%, 46.8%, respectively. The inhibition ratio of the extract (200 mg/kg dose) on xylene-induced mouse ear oedema was 61.5%, lower than 63.7% for indomethacin (5 mg/kg). At 200 mg/kg, the extract decreased number of writhing 52.3% in acetic acid-induced writhing model and increased the response latency 25.24% in hot plate test. Conclusions: The water extract from the body wall of Sipunculus nudus possesses excellent anti-inflammatory activity as well as peripheral and central analgesic properties. © 2011 Elsevier Ireland Ltd. For path planning problem of mobile robot in a known three-dimensional (3D) environment, proposed a path planning algorithm. Firstly, rasterize the known three-dimensional environment. Established the running costs estimate model for the grids from starting point to the target. Using the model to estimate the running costs for each grid. Then used A * search algorithm to calculate the grid path from starting to target with lowest running costs. By detectives of mobile robot, we planned an optimum path under the constraints of grids using hill climbing algorithm. Simulated results show that the algorithm can reduce the uphill or downhill times and running costs improve security, avoid the problem of local minimum. A gold/sodium dodecylbenzene sulfonate nanoparticles modified glassy carbon electrode (nano-Au/SDBS/GCE) was electrochemically fabricated with a constant potential at -0.4V. The obtained nano-Au/SDBS/GCE was characterized with scanning electronic microscopy, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy and electrochemical techniques. Electrochemical behaviors of methyl parathion at the nano-Au/SDBS/GCE were thoroughly investigated. Compared to the unmodified electrode, the peak current obviously increased and the oxidation peak potential negatively shifted. These changes indicated that the composite nanoparticles possess good electrocatalytic performance on the electrochemical reaction of methyl parathion. Experimental parameters such as deposition time, pH value and accumulation conditions were optimized. Under optimum conditions, the peak current corresponding to the oxidation of the hydroxylamine group was found in a good linear relationship with the methyl parathion concentration. In addition, a calibration curve with excellent linearity was obtained in the concentration range from 5.0×10-7molL-1 to 1.0×10-4molL-1 with an estimated detection limit of 8.6×10-8molL-1 (S/N=3). The successful determination of methyl parathion in real samples demonstrated the usefulness and potential applications of this method. © 2010.

Prediction of the schedule of cruise ships benefits the managements of cruise ships. In order to prove the feasibility and accuracy of the grey GM (0, N) which is applied to cruise ships service, the number of monthly cruise ships which left Hong Kong for Macau from 2014 to 2105 are forecasted. The precision of the model is tested and analyzed by grey precision grades. Additionally, an interrelationship between cruise ships and external employee is analyzed by grey correlation degree to find out the impact factor of two variables. Its outcome shows that it is a scientific method to apply GM (0, N) to cruise ships because the grey predicted number closely matches the actual observed number and the convenience of cruise ships is one important factor in attracting talent in adjacent cities. This research provides a useful reference for the improvement of cruise ships' service by offering reasonable time arrangement of cruise ships and solving shortage of labor. © 2015 IEEE.

In the title compound, C14H12N4O 3, the dihedral angle between the benzene rings is 7.6 (4)°. In the crystal, infinite sheets linked by N - H⋯O and bifurcated N - H⋯(O,N) hydrogen bonds propagate in the (10-1) plane, in which R 4 4(36) loops are apparent. A water-soluble polysaccharide, named as SNP, was extracted and fractioned from the body wall of Sipunculus nudus L. by DEAE-Sepharose anion exchange and Sepharose CL-6B column chromatography. The structural characteristics of SNP investigated by high performance size exclusion chromatography (HP-SEC), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR) and gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) indicated that SNP was a homogeneous polysaccharide with a molecular mass of 350. kD and the monosaccharide composition was determined to be rhamnose (28%), fucose (16%) and galactose (56%). SNP was able to upregulate the expression of cytokines (IL-6 and TNF-α), but did not affect IL-10 secretion by murine macrophages and human peripheral blood mononuclear cells. RT-PCR analysis demonstrated that the SNP also induced the expression of iNOS and COX-2, responsible for the induction of NO and PGE2 respectively, and SNP suppressed the arginase activity. These results suggest that the polysaccharide isolated from S. nudus activates macrophages and has potent immunostimulating activity. © 2011.

Translation is not only a language activity but also a thinking activity that involves the conversion of the two languages, and language is both a thinking tool and the result of thinking. Language and thought are closely related, and they are both interacting and interdependent. Different thinking determines that the expression of both English and Chinese on the same topic is also different. Through the relationship between language and thought, standing on a higher philosophical point of thinking, we can investigate the effect of the differences between English and Chinese translation. The evaluation for anti-hypoxia activity demonstrated that SNP had significant anti-hypoxic activity on normobarie hypoxia, chemical intoxicant hypoxia and acute cerebral ischemia hypoxia models in mice. SNP also enhanced the number of red blood cell count (RBC) and the concentration of hemoglobin (HGB). The structural characteristics of SNP investigated by high performance size exclusion chromatography, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy and gas chromatography-mass spectrometry indicated that SNP was a homogeneous polysaccharide with a molecular mass of 350. kD and was composed of rhamnose (28%), fucose (16%) and galactose (56%). The results suggested that SNP could be explored as a novel potential anti-hypoxia agent. © 2011 Elsevier B.V.
